Su Wenmao became acquainted with Chang Baokun and learned the art from his teacher in 1943, and there was a very formal worship ceremony, but at that time he was an unknown primary school apprentice and could not afford to pay the cost of worshiping a teacher, so the ceremony was very simple.
In 1947, Su Wenmao and his partner Yu Junbo broke out of the hall of fame together, and gradually gained a foothold in the Beijing-Tianjin cross-talk circle. In 1948, Chang Baokun proposed that Su Wenmao hold a meeting with great fanfare, and jointly invite colleagues in the cross-talk industry to attend in the name of the two masters and apprentices, which would be beneficial to both the master and the apprentice.

Su Wenmao claimed to have spent more than 10,000 yuan, but Tianjin in 1948 was still a national unification area, and it was in the process of reforming the replacement of legal tender with gold yuan coupons, so I don't know what Su Wenmao said about the unit of more than 10,000 yuan.
