On September 13, a series of party history study and education activities were held at the Party School of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China. Wu Desheng, honorary curator of the former residence of martyr Li Bai, Zhu Jiejing, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Youth Federation and chief actor of the Rongdian of the Shanghai Song and Dance Troupe, and Zhao Dapeng, associate professor of the Party Building Teaching and Research Department of the Party School of the Municipal Party Committee, carried out an interview-style teaching centering on the theme of "Communist Party Members in the Underground Struggle in Shanghai City" and taking the movie "The Eternal Electric Wave" as the starting point.

In 1958, the film "The Eternal Electric Wave" starring the famous performance artist Sun Daolin was released. This red classic has influenced generations. In particular, the last telegram sent by the protagonist of the film, Li Xia, before his arrest - "Comrades, farewell, I miss you", has touched countless audiences. With the release of "The Eternal Wave", Li Xia has become a hero in the minds of thousands of audiences, and has also become the epitome of the glorious image of our party's underground workers. Based on the film and television work of the same name, the dance drama "The Eternal Electric Wave" has won the Wenhua Award and the "Five Ones" Project Award, and has performed nearly 300 times so far, and has toured more than 30 cities.

Before his arrest, he sent his last telegram: "Comrades, farewell, I miss you"

Talking about why "The Eternal Airwaves" was chosen as the theme of the dance drama, Zhu Jiejing said that the war was not necessarily on the battlefield with artillery fire, and in the specific historical context at that time, the underground struggle in Shanghai was the most active in the country. The small radio station, which is far from where we live now, played a huge role in that era, "through the transmission of underground radio, Shanghai became an important part of the liberation of all China." ”

Zhao Dapeng pointed out that the radio station is very much in line with the hidden and special characteristics of the underground struggle in Shanghai. "Looking back at history, our party's first underground radio station was born in Shanghai. The Central Committee of the Party was in Shanghai at that time, and to direct the struggle elsewhere and even to maintain contact with the Communist International, it was almost impossible to rely only on the form of passing notes, so the establishment of underground radio stations was on the agenda. After the Sixth National Congress in 1928, Comrade Zhou Enlai proposed that his own underground radio station must be established, but for the Chinese Communists at that time, the process of establishing an underground radio station in Shanghai was extremely difficult and complicated. In this process, several figures played a very key role, among which Zhang Shenchuan and Li Qiang can be called the originators of the underground radio station of the Communist Party of China, and they made a lot of efforts in Shanghai for the establishment of the party's underground radio station. In 1929, the CCP's first underground radio station was born in the Shikumen House in FukangLi, Daxi Road (now No. 9, Lane 420, Yan'an West Road).

As the prototype of Li Xia, the protagonist of "The Eternal Radio Wave", what kind of person is Martyr Li Bai, and how does he work in a secret radio station in Shanghai? Director Wu Desheng, who has been pursuing the martyr Li Bai for 38 years, introduced the students present. "Li Bai's original name was Li Huachu, and the reason why he changed his name to Li Bai was because he was going to join the Red Army at that time, and he thought he started with a blank piece of paper." In 1934, Li Bai joined the Long March, when he was the radio director and political commissar of the Fifth Red Army. In the course of the Red Army's Long March, Li Bai proposed that "radio is more important than life", which has also become his motto for practicing his life with practical actions. Radio played a huge role in the victory of the Red Army's Long March, and Mao Zedong, Peng Dehuai, and others affirmed this.

Assigned by the party organization, Li Bai came to Shanghai in October 1937, and his main task was to build an air bridge between Shanghai and Yan'an. No. 15, Lane 107, Huangdu Road, Hongkou District, is a point where Li Bai worked, and it was also where he and Qiu Huiying lived, worked and were arrested in the last three years before the liberation of Shanghai. Why Huangdu Road? Wu Desheng said that this point is only 200 meters away from the kuomintang garrison headquarters in a straight line, but the most dangerous places are often also the safest places. According to research, this house was originally the dormitory of the Kuomintang secret service, and the entire alley was basically a Kuomintang. Li Bai lived on the third floor, and on the second floor of the first floor lived also communists, but they had no contact with each other at work. ”

In the early morning of December 30, 1948, in the course of communicating with the Party Central Committee, Li Bai was unfortunately arrested because the location of the radio was measured by the Kuomintang secret service. On May 7, 1949, Li Bai was secretly killed by Kuomintang agents. The day of his sacrifice was only 20 days after the liberation of Shanghai.

During the on-site interaction, some trainees said that Li Bai interpreted the great spirit of party building with his own practical actions. Shanghai is a red hot land where countless martyrs have fought, shed blood, and finally sacrificed for their faith. For the sake of common ideals and common goals, revolutionary martyrs threw their heads and spilled their blood, interpreted the great party-building spirit with their own practical actions, and continued shanghai's red genes and red blood.

Why has "The Eternal Wave" touched generations? Professor Mei Lihong, vice president of the Party School of the Municipal Party Committee, pointed out in his summary that countless communists, represented by martyr Li Bai, have written their loyalty to the party with their own blood and lives. A very important reason why the Communist Party of China has made such great achievements in the past hundred years is that generations of Communists have been loyal to the Party. The most important thing to be loyal to the party is to be loyal to the party's cause, the party's cause and the people's cause are highly compatible, and loyalty to the party and living up to the people are highly unified. Today we are in a new era, and the cadres in Shanghai must all the more make new achievements in the forefront of reform and opening up in the forefront of reform and opening up.
