International Online Henan Channel reported (Zhang Yuqing): In 2018, at the invitation of Gu Jianqin, then president of Henan Provincial People's Hospital, and Li Tianxiao, executive vice president of Henan Provincial Cerebrovascular Disease Hospital, Yuha Hnesniemi went to Henan for a long time to "station", becoming the first foreign medical expert introduced by Henan Province full-time.

Originally from Helsinki, Finland, Yuha Henessiemi is an internationally recognized expert in cerebrovascular disease in the neurosurgery community and has been engaged in the field of neurosurgery for 48 years. His invention of the "supraorbital lateral surgical approach" has been widely used by neurosurgeons, benefiting countless patients. Since July 1, 2018, Yuha Honesniemi and his team have been working full-time in Henan Provincial People's Hospital, carrying out various services such as surgery and teaching in a planned manner, not only to solve the disease troubles of the people of the Central Plains, but also to train a group of excellent neurosurgeons.

"This is my new home and my last stop on the job. I moved all my work experience in Helsinki and my whole world to Henan. For Yuha Henessiemi, working in Henan was a great experience. There is a privileged medical environment, a united team of caregivers, and when patients recover, Yuha Hénessiemi receives the most sincere thanks from the patient's family.

In addition to the in-depth study of professional fields, in the past few years, Yuha Hnesniemi has also tried to understand the history, culture, food, customs and customs of Henan.

"I've been to China many times over the past 20 years, and each time I've marveled at the country's rapid growth. In the 3 years and 2 months of working in Henan, I have a deep understanding. Compared with my hometown, Zhengzhou is a big city. Of course, in my opinion, the other cities in Henan are not small. Yuha Honesniemi said.

Through reading books and other means, Yuha Hnesniemi has a rough understanding of the historical trajectory of Henan in the past 100 years, and can be regarded as a "little understanding" of China's five-thousand-year history. He has visited scenic spots in many parts of Henan, of which the Shaolin Temple impressed him the most. "I would like to go to the Shaolin Temple again if I have the chance, but I will take someone who is more familiar with the situation and more experienced." If my friends come to Henan, I would definitely recommend them to the Shaolin Temple, as well as the major scenic spots in Kaifeng and other places. Yuha Hnesniemi said.

In 2020, Yuha Hnesniemi won the "Yellow River Friendship Award" for his intensive work in the medical field. The award is the highest honorary award set up by the Henan Provincial Government to commend international friends, foreign experts, overseas Chinese, hong Kong and Macao celebrities who have made outstanding contributions to Henan's opening up to the outside world, economic construction and social progress.

"The 'Yellow River Friendship Award' is a high recognition of my work in Henan. It is precisely because of high-level universities and advanced industries that foreigners can make great achievements in Henan. Over the years, the technical level of Chinese doctors in the field of neurosurgery has improved by leaps and bounds. I believe that in the near future, the frontier development of neurosurgery will shift to China. Yuha Honesniemi said.
