Yuha-Peka Vaissanin, chairman of the Communist Party of Finland, said in a recent interview with the "Reference News" reporter in Helsinki that the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people are full of enthusiasm and motivation to face changes and difficulties, and the hundred-year-old Communist Party of China still has a new spiritual outlook. The full text is excerpted below:
Vaisanin has visited China several times and has been following China's development. He said that he was deeply impressed by the rapid growth of China's economy, China's winning the battle against poverty and successfully fighting the new crown pneumonia epidemic, all of which are inseparable from the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, scientific development planning and positive and promising enthusiasm.
He said: Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China has taken the market economy as an important means of economic and social development, established a socialist market economic system, and made outstanding achievements.
Vaisanin called China's overall poverty alleviation "a great feat." He praised the Chinese Communist Party's purpose of "serving the people wholeheartedly" and China's development ideology of "adhering to the people-centered approach." He said that once the CPC has made a commitment to serve the people, it will practice it no matter how great the difficulties it encounters. Winning the battle against poverty is a vivid example.
Vaisanin said that the new crown pneumonia epidemic has brought great challenges and tests to all countries in the world. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, China has successfully fought and contained the epidemic and has also provided help and experience to countries around the world. The socialist system with Chinese characteristics has demonstrated great superiority, and the Communist Party of China and the Chinese people have shown a strong sense of mission and action.
Vaisanin was not only a party leader, but also a well-known artist. In connection with his own experience in art work, he said that in several visits to China and contacts with Chinese Communist Party cadres, he deeply felt that they had a kind of creativity and enthusiasm similar to that of artists and cultural workers, and a kind of persistence and fighting spirit of "rolling up their sleeves and working hard", and did not flinch in the face of change.
"When I visited China, I learned the story of how researchers from poor families were educated and eventually became scholars. I was deeply moved when I heard them – both men and women – talk about how they got out of poverty and used their knowledge and skills to help others lift themselves out of poverty. Vaisanin told reporters.
General Secretary Xi Jinping once called on party members and cadres to read more Marxist classics, and Vaisanin was deeply impressed and deeply agreed with this.
"In Finland, we have an organization called an action group that reads Marx's writings in public places. When we heard what General Secretary Xi Jinping said about reading Marx's works, we were very excited because we had similar ideas. Vaisanien said.
"On the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, on behalf of the Communist Party of Finland, I would like to sincerely pay tribute to the inspiring achievements of the Communist Party of China." Vaisanin said that for the hundred-year-old Chinese Communist Party, this spirit of daring to be the first and being active and promising, which emerged from the "Red Boat Spirit" of that year, is its most perfect birthday gift.
