According to the Global Times news on October 2, on the day of National Day, the Taiwan Air Force said that 25 PLA military planes entered the airspace of southwest Taiwan in Baijian on the same day, and 13 PLA military planes continued to enter the airspace of southwest Taiwan at night.

In one day, 38 military planes patrolled the Taiwan Strait day and night, which set a record for the PLA military aircraft to cruise the Taiwan Strait in a single day, and its models included various types of fighters, anti-submarine aircraft, bombers, and early warning aircraft. Judging by this scale and quantity, the PLAAF can already grasp the air superiority in the mission area when carrying out its mission, and at the same time has the ability to continuously attack day and night.

What is even more significant is that during the day it is 22 fighter cruises and 10 fighters at night, and the flight route is to cross the Bashi Strait and return after arriving in the airspace of eastern Taiwan, which shows that the PLAAF is not simply cruising the Taiwan Strait, but is conducting actual combat exercises. As soon as the situation in the Taiwan Strait changes, the PLAAF can immediately shift from exercise to actual combat.

Since the Democratic Progressive Party Tsai Ing-wen came to power in 2016, the cross-strait situation has become more tense and complicated because she refused to recognize the "1992 Consensus" that represents the one-China principle, wantonly undermined cross-strait relations to promote the process of splitting the country, and flattered Japan without a bottom-line principle. Against the background of the international situation in which the United States has gradually shifted its strategic focus from the Middle East to the Asia-Pacific region and Japan has vigorously strengthened US-Japan relations, the Taiwan separatists headed by Tsai Ing-wen have even seen the hope of relying on the strength of the United States, Japan, and other Western countries to achieve national separatism. Therefore, the arrogance of the Taiwan separatists who think that they have the support of the United States, Japan, and other countries behind them has become more and more arrogant.

The mainland's cross-strait policy has always followed the path of peaceful reunification, and even on the basis of public opinion of almost the whole people supporting "armed reunification," it has not wavered. However, in order to realize the peaceful reunification of the country, it is far from enough to release economic dividends to Taiwan, but it is also necessary to ensure strong military strength to curb Taiwan separatist forces and prevent countries outside the region from interfering in Taiwan Strait affairs. In the face of the increasingly complex and sensitive situation in the Taiwan Strait, the mainland adheres to the "Huitai" policy on the one hand, and on the other hand, it unswervingly prepares for military struggle against Taiwan and ensures that it has the ability and strength to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity at any time and under any circumstances.

However, the Taiwan separatists not only turn a blind eye to the mainland's goodwill, but on the contrary vigorously advocate "resisting reunification by force" on the island, so much so that the Taiwan people naively believe that the United States will "stand up to Taiwan by force." Therefore, "resisting reunification by force" has an increasing market on the island, and even more and more hoodwinked Taiwan people hope to change the status quo on both sides of the strait with a war.

This kind of erroneous perception that appears on the island is very dangerous, and this not only makes Taiwan Island completely degenerate into a "pawn" of the US strategy of containing China, but also sharply increases the risk of war. For this change in cognition on the island, the mainland is also always on high alert. The more frenzied the activities of Taiwan separatists and the more the United States, Japan, and other countries meddle in China's internal affairs, they will all be resolutely opposed and strongly countered by the mainland.

The PLA military plane cruised the Taiwan Strait on National Day, and even completed the day and night continuous attack in a form of actual combat formation, that is, it clearly and unmistakably told the island at a special time node: The PLA has the confidence and determination, the ability to defeat separatist forces and countries outside the region, and defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity!
