Ryu had no choice but to think that he could exchange his kidney for a kidney suitable for his sister's transplant through the black market, but he was defrauded, not only losing his kidney, but also cheating out of all his savings. ▶ Stage 1: Boss Dongjin ➝Ryu
Ryu and his girlfriend target the daughter of the former factory owner Dong Jin (Song Kang-ho), who lures the little girl home as the boss's friend. Because Dongjin is busy at work, he often sends his daughter to other people's houses for boarding, so the little girl does not cry.
So Ryu had to deliberately make the little girl cry, and then took a photo and sent it to Dongjin to extort a ransom.
In fact, they have always been very good to the little girl, and the little girl has a lot of fun here.
On Dongjin's side, his wife has divorced himself, and the most important thing in his life is his daughter. So after learning that his daughter had been kidnapped, he did not call the police but prepared a ransom to get her back.
Then Ryu successfully got the ransom and was preparing to send the child back, but inadvertently saw the suicide note left by her sister.
It turned out that his sister knew about his kidnapping of the child and felt that he was dragging him down, so he cut his wrists and committed suicide, and Ryu was grieving over his sister's corpse.
Heartbroken, Ryu returns to the river as a child with the bodies of the little girl and sister, where he buries her and intends to send the child back.
Things were supposed to go this way, but God made a joke for him again.
During this period, the little girl ran out of the car and fell into the water, and the sad male protagonist, as a deaf and mute, naturally could not hear the cry for help, and when she was found, the little girl had already died.
Ryu's heart is broken, the original intention of trying to save his sister at first, but in the end it caused such a tragedy, good people become bad people, this jump into the Yellow River can not be washed away.

▶ Stage 2: Ryu ➝ Organ Trafficker
Ryu had already moved from home to his girlfriend's house after the incident, at this time he had reacted that if he had not been cheated of money by the organ traffickers, his sister would have been cured, she would not have died, and the little girl would not have died innocently. So he decided to take revenge on the crooks.
So, the girlfriend pretended to sell organs and helped to find out the new address of the scammer.
Ryu then breaks in alone and single-handedly wipes out the family-based gang of scammers.
▶ Stage 3: Ryu ⇄ Boss Dongjin
Here the boss Dongjin also carried out his own revenge plan, he followed the clues he found to Ryu's girlfriend's house, severely tortured her, forced her to tell Ryu's whereabouts, the girlfriend kept her mouth shut, and finally was killed by Dongjin's electric shock.
At this time, the little brother who came to deliver the takeaway was unfortunately killed by Dong Jin, who had lost his mind, because he saw the corpse.
When Ryu returns home, he finds his girlfriend killed and is overwhelmed with grief.
He knew that this must be Dong Jin's work, so he came to the vicinity of Dong Jin's house to stalk, waiting for an opportunity to take revenge.
Dong Jin also sneaked into the small bungalow where Ryu lived and waited for him to return. The two men squatted in each other's house like this, and they both pounced.
Ryu finally ran out of patience and returned home, but found Masakazu sleeping at home, still whimpering Dongjin. Of course, this was just a trap laid by Dong Jin, and Ryu, who let down his guard, gave a corona as soon as he touched the doorknob, and was taken to the river where the little girl died.
In fact, Dong Jin already knew from his girlfriend that the whole incident was an accident, and he also knew that the male protagonist was not a bad person, but he could not accept the pain of losing his daughter, and he had to kill him to vent his anger, Ryu cried out for his life.
▶ Stage 4: Mysterious Organization ➝ Boss Dongjin
Just as Dongjin was about to dig a pit to bury Ryu, a group of people drove forward, they got out of the car and stabbed Dongjin several times, and then they plunged a handwritten death sentence into his chest and flew away.
It turned out that they were a mysterious anti-government organization, Ryu's girlfriend was a member of the organization, and she had greeted them in advance and said that if something happened to her, it must be Dong Jin. So these people came to avenge her.
Finally, Dong Jin fell powerlessly in a pool of blood, looking hard at the speechless verdict and the body of Ryu in front of him, slowly dying.
Oh, what hatred and resentment, in the end it was all destroyed. The most tragic thing in the whole film is the boss Dongjin, who did not provoke anyone at the beginning, but in the end he ended up like this.
Tracing back to the source, is the source of the tragedy an unscrupulous organ trafficker? Or is it the poverty of the people at the bottom?
If Ryu had money at the beginning, he could have taken his sister to a regular hospital for kidney replacement, and would not have gone to the black market to buy a kidney, thus leading to a series of absurd tragedies in the future.
But the reality is so helpless that poverty cannot be completely eliminated.
The poor Ryu and the rich Dongjin in the film deserve sympathy, and although they have committed crimes, they have also been punished.
The police who represent justice are marginalized in the film, and behind the revenge and killing, it is no longer clear who is right and who is wrong.
