At the end of 2019, Bian Weiwei posted a red paper and black characters "Father's Debt Repayment" announcement in the village, and continuously posted messages in the Convenience Service WeChat group in Xiangbei Village, deciding to repay the remaining 70% of the principal debt for his deceased father on New Year's Day in 2020, in order to make up for everyone's trust in his father.
On New Year's Day 2020, Bian Weiwei kept his promise and helped his father repay the debts of more than 50 villagers for about 210,000 yuan.
When repaying the arrears, the villagers had no vouchers in their hands, the original IOU had been handed over at the time of the court's judgment, and Bian Weiwei took out the treasured account books of the remaining arrears of the year and checked them with the villagers one by one, no longer requiring the villagers to issue vouchers, and signing a letter after receiving the money.
In fact, the villagers obeyed the court's judgment and did not expect the Bian Weiwei family to pay off the remaining debts, and he did not have to "pay off the debts for his father." Bian Weiwei's honest behavior of 27 years was a surprise to the villagers.
"The villagers can trust my father so much, lend him so much money, and believe that my father had a certain good reputation and good image in the minds of the villagers before he died." Bian Weiwei was called "Brother of Integrity" by the villagers and won the title of "Jiangsu Good Man" in the 2021 Honesty and Trustworthiness category.
"Epidemic road peers" show responsibility
From 2020 to 2021, during the outbreak of the new crown epidemic across the country, Bian Weiwei gave full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of communist party members, actively signed up at the village committee, and became a good anti-epidemic volunteer. At the beginning of 2020, when the masks were most tense, Gao Chun was out of stock, Bian Weiwei immediately contacted friends from other places to help purchase masks, and after the first batch of 500 arrived, he and other volunteers went door to door to distribute free to villagers to publicize to villagers how to correctly prevent the relevant knowledge of the new coronavirus pneumonia.
Bian Weiwei also inquired about various channels in many ways, organized a group of caring people, purchased 100 kilograms of alcohol disinfectant, 400 kilograms of 84 disinfectant and instant noodles, bread, mineral water and other materials, donated to the Gaochun District Police Station and the Gaochun District Traffic Police Brigade, thanking them for being on duty day and night at the bayonet line.
