As can be seen, this record was produced by TNT in Hong Kong and distributed by Taiwan's Pujin Communications (that is, the company of the Deng family). In 1999, Universal Records acquired Teresa's old owner, Polydon, and the record still uses the brand name of Polydor that fans are familiar with.

This booklet tells the origin and production process of this record in great detail, and contains many precious photos.

It is said that as early as the late 1980s, Teresa Teng had mentioned to her brother Deng Changxi that she wanted to make an album of old songs and new songs, and was in preparation. After that, Teresa Teng was in a semi-retired state, living in France for many years, and her voice was not very good, and Deng Changxi did not care too much about this matter.
On May 8, 1995, Teresa died suddenly in Chiang Mai, Thailand. At the end of the year, Deng Changxi went to France to sort out Teresa Teng's relics, and found some small recordings, which were some Chinese and English songs, and Deng Changxi remembered the old song and the new song. But at that time, Teresa Teng had just died, and the grief-stricken Deng Changxi did not think of releasing these recordings.
The Chinese songs in these samples were recorded by Teresa Teng at the Hong Kong New Calendar Studio in the late 1980s, and the English songs were recorded in France in the early 1990s.
After four or five years, Deng Changxi, whose mood gradually calmed down, decided to let more people hear these recordings. But these recordings were too simple, just Teresa Teng's singing and extremely simple accompaniment, so Deng Changxi found a Taiwanese music master Li Shouquan to produce. Li Shouquan recalled that when he first entered the industry, after making Su Rui's "The Same Moonlight", he first met Teresa Teng Lijun, who was already a superstar, at Liu Wenzheng's home, but the two never cooperated. Unexpectedly, after Teresa Teng died, she had such a fate.
In 2001, Mr. Li Shouquan was interviewed by Wang Mingquan and Li Xiaotian on the show, and told the production process of this record.
The album began production in Singapore after the Spring Festival in 2001 and was recorded in Beijing in March with Chinese part of the orchestra. In the end, the overall mixing project was handed over to Teresa Teng's former Japanese mixer Shozo Motegi to complete.
On April 27, 2001, "Inoubliable" was released, which caused a shock in the recording industry and fans that year. Because the Teresa Teng in this album is not the familiar voice of the previous day, but recorded in an extremely relaxed state, and can even be said to be quite casual. However, it can still be heard that in such a casual state, it actually shows a different kind of natural beauty. (There are auditions in the following article)
In the revised edition of the well-known mainland music magazine "Audiovisual World" in July 2001 (Part 1), a full page was devoted to introducing Teresa Teresa's "new" record, and Uncle Feng moved countless times over the years, but still retained the magazine.
According to the magazine production cycle, this magazine received sample discs from Global in May 2001 and went out on the street in July, which was already very fast at that time.
In addition to the Taiwanese and Hong Kong editions, in addition to the Taiwanese and Hong Kong editions, in addition to the Japanese editions, the first edition was suppressed by Tianlong and was very rare.
It is worth mentioning that this record has also been released in two continental versions.
In 2001, "Inoubliable" was introduced and distributed by Busheng Culture, a global agency in the mainland that year. However, this version deleted the intimate version of "Hate Not Meeting and Not Marrying", and the track became 11 songs. Over the years, this version has been spat on by Jun fans. However, this version turned out to be the most difficult to find, and it was out of print very early.
In the same year, Dungeon's Pujin Company and Universal Records launched a global limited edition of 3,000 sets of "Teresa Teresa Music Codex" 10CD, one of which was "Can't Forget Inoubliable". In 2008, this set of albums was introduced to the mainland for release, the number of discs became 7CD, and the fourth album was actually "Can't Forget Inoubliable", this time it was finally all correct.
Over the years, Universal has also published versions of "Can't Forget" in various formats, such as the SHM-SACD version, which is almost the highest specification, and the global limited edition is only 500 copies.

Well, now I am just getting into the main topic, from the Chinese song in this one, talk about the fate of Teresa Teng and old Shanghai music.
The first song ,No Love", from the famous director Tao Qin's 1967 film "No Love" for Shaw, wrote the lyrics by Tao Qin himself, composed by the famous composer Wang Fuling, and sang by Gu Mei.
This Gu Mei is the sister of Hong Kong's master composer Gu Jiahui, who is the behind-the-scenes singer of many Hong Kong business cards in the 1960s, and she later became a well-known Chinese painter, which is also very legendary.
Wang Fuling, the composer of "No Love", was born in Shanghai and also studied music in Shanghai, so his works carry a deep old Shanghai style. He has many famous songs, including "My Chinese Heart", "Nanping Evening Bell", "How Precious Tonight", etc., and he died in the late 1980s.
How influential is "No Love", many years later, Er Dongsheng's business card "New Can't Love" is named after its extension, of course, there is another classic song "New Can't Love".
The second song "Human Face Peach Blossom", which is a lyric written by the palace-level lyricist Chen Dieyi, the song of the famous songwriter Yao Min, the original song is a generation of song queen Yao Li, Teresa Teng is her super fan.
Teresa teng herself is very passionate about this song, and in 1992 she released an album called "Unforgettable Teresa Teng", which included the "Face Peach Blossom", and "Can't Forget Inoubliable" album is a re-accompaniment version.
Because of the bad state in those years, Teresa Teng used photos taken when she was young as a cover for her records, but only "Unforgettable Teresa Teng" used photos taken at that time.
In 1967, Teresa officially released her first album. In this year, Yao Min unfortunately died, and his sister Yao Li was very sad, so she quit the music scene.
Yao Li was once one of the seven famous singers in Shanghai, including Zhou Xuan, Bai Hong, Gong Qiuxia, Yao Li, Bai Guang, Li Xianglan and Wu Yingyin. Yao Li died on July 19, 2019, at the age of 96, the last of the Seven Songs. (There is no Wu Yingyin in the picture below, she did not debut at that time)
Teresa Teng's father is a fan of Yao Li, and when she first entered the music scene, her father said that if you want to sing a good song, you must go to visit Yao Li. When the well-behaved Teresa Teng went to Hong Kong to perform in 1970, she met with the singer Wu Jingxian (that is, Gu Qiuxia in "The Stars Know My Heart"),who met Yao Li and Chen Dieyi. Since 1969, Yao Li has served as the supervising producer of EMI and trained many red singers.
At that time, the place where they dined was the Golden House Restaurant in Tsim Sha Tsui, with Teresa Teng and Wu Jingxian in the first row, and Yao Li, Chen Dieyi and hong Kong singer Zhen Xiuyi in the second row.
In 1967, Teresa Teng published her first album "Fengyang Flower Drum" on Universe Records, which included a song "Peach Blossom River" sung by Yao Li.
"Peach Blossom River" is a famous 1956 film directed by Wang Jing's father, Wang Tianlin, starring the popular actress Zhongqing at that time, and the famous actors Luo Wei and Chen Hou.
The song "Peach Blossom River" comes from the classic bridge section of the movie.
Most of the movies that Dan Loved starred in that year were sung by Yao Li behind the scenes.
In 1960, Zhongqing starred in "The Lady Who Entered the House" directed by Wang Tianlin, in which he sang "Life is Drama", which was also sung by Yao Li behind the scenes. The screenwriter of this movie is Chen Dieyi, the lyrics of "Life is Drama" written by him, and the song of Yao Min.
And Teresa Teng in her second record "Heartache Little Baby", she sang Yao Li's "Life is Drama". But in fact, most mainland fans know this song, which is Cai Qin's version.
Yao Li also has a very famous song "Dance Partner Tears", a cover from american singer Patti Page's Changing Partners, Chinese filler is Qin Guan (should be a pen name for Yao Min), the original English lyrics are Joseph Darion, and the composition is Lawrence Coleman.
In the Spring Festival of 1986, Teresa Teng sang this song "Tears of a Dance Partner" in the New Year special edition of "Music with Jun" by Taiwan's "Taiwan Television", but the song was not recorded.
In addition, Teresa Teng's Cantonese album "Walking the Road of Life" published in May 1983, "East Mountain Drifting Rain West Mountain Qing", is actually a Cantonese version of the famous song "Suzhou Riverside". "Suzhou Riverside" is composed by Chen Gexin, sung by Yao Min and Yao Li's brothers and sisters, which is also a "very Shanghai" song.
The third song "Hate Not Meeting and Not Marrying" is the work of Yao Min's song, and the original song is very legendary Li Xianglan (Shuko Yamaguchi). The 11th track of the album is a friendly version of "Hate When You Don't Meet and Don't Marry".
Regarding Teresa Teng and Li Xianglan's Shanghai fate, it is worth saying.
Li Xianglan was a very special movie star and singer from the 1930s to the 1940s, originally Japanese, and later changed her name to Li Xianglan Chinese, yes, she is the Li Xianglan of Jacky Cheung's famous song "Li Xianglan".
Li Xianglan is known for her sexy beauty, and her singing range is also very wide, which is a rare all-round artist.
Li Xianglan's most famous first song is "Night Fragrance". The song was written by Mr. Lai Kam Kwong, a pioneer of popular music in China, and was written in the early autumn of 1944. Later, the words Huang Qingshi and Qu Jinyushi marked in "Evening Fragrance" were his pen names.
However, after writing it, he gave it to several Shanghai female singers he was familiar with to audition, including Zhou Xuan, Yao Li, and Gong Qiuxia, etc., all of which were abandoned because the sound range was too wide. It just so happened that Li Xianglan was filming from the northeast to Shanghai, and accidentally saw the score of "Night Fragrance" on Li Jinguang's table, and hummed it, so he recorded it.
The song "Night Fragrance" really has an intoxicating charm and soon became popular. In 1945, Li Xianglan held a solo concert at the Shanghai Great Bright Theater, which was called "Night Fragrance Fantasia". However, whether it is the Chinese version or the Japanese version, it has not escaped the fate of being banned, because Li Xianglan's identity is too special, and the soft style of "Night Fragrance" has been determined to be a "mesmerizing sound" that consumes people's will.
Today, the old vinyl records recorded by EMI for Li Xianglan have already sold at a sky-high price.
After Li Xianglan was sent back to Japan in 1946, various Japanese editions of "Night Fragrance" were still published.
After returning to Japan, Li Xianglan married a diplomat and went to politics, returned to Shanghai after retiring in 1992, and sang "Night Incense" with Shanghai citizens in front of his former residence in Hongkou.
That, "Night Fragrance" was extinct in China after it was banned, why is it that everyone knows that ordinary mothers can sing it?
Or to Teresa Teng.
In June 1978, Teresa Teng released "Hot Singing! The "Tokyo Night Scene" album debuted as a cover of "Night Fragrance".
In December 1978, Hong Kong Polydor published Teresa Teng's "A Love Letter" album, and "Evening Fragrance" was placed in the last song (the sixth song on the B side).
At that time, Polydor had no company in Taiwan, and its home distribution in Taiwan was represented by Gelin, so almost at the same time, Gorin's album "Heartless Wasteland And Love Days" also included this song "Night Fragrance", the fourth song on the B side.
The really good song, no matter what kind of time dust it has experienced, will still shine, and "Night Fragrance" has spread throughout the Chinese world through Teresa Teng's cover song, so that this song has been re-established and truly passed down in places where there are Chinese people.
How much does Teresa Teresa love "Night Fragrance"? In October 1994, she released the album "Night Fragrance" on Taurus Palace Records in Japan, re-recording the Chinese version of the song "Night Fragrance" and placing it on the first track of the record.
In November 1994, six months before her death, Teresa released the Japanese version of "Night Fragrance" in Japan, which was her last single record.
"Night Fragrance" is also the favorite of Teresa Teng's concerts, 1982 Hong Kong Elizabeth Stadium concert, 1984 Taipei One Billion Applause Concert and Hong Kong Concert, 1985 the most classic Japanese NHK concert, etc., she sang "Night Fragrance" to finale.
In the 1985 NHK concert, whether it was Teresa Teresa's appearance, singing art, or shooting picture quality, sound quality, as well as stage effects, song selection, etc., it was one of the best in history.
In November 1994, Teresa Teng sang in public for the last time, singing the Japanese version of "Night Fragrance", you can see that at that time, her state was already very bad, but she still sang with superb skills and rich stage experience.
Li Jinguang is the seventh uncle of li minghui, a famous female singer and movie star in early China, and Li Minghui's son Lu Zhendong once said in an interview that he asked the seventh uncle Li Jinguang, "Night Fragrance" dozens of versions, who sang the best? Li Jinguang replied without hesitation: Teresa Teng.
Li Xianglan died on September 7, 2014, at the age of 94. At that time, the spokesperson of China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said: Ms. Li Xianglan supported and participated in the cause of Sino-Japanese friendship after the war and made positive contributions to this end, and we express our condolences on her passing away.
However, it is a little regrettable that Teresa Teng went to Japan twice in the 1970s and 1990s, which was also the period when Li Xianglan was active in Japanese entertainment and politics, but they never met.
In addition, the twelfth song of the album, "Three Years", written by the famous lyricist Li Junqing, Yao Minqu, is also the original song of Li Xianglan. In 1958, Li Xianglan went to Hong Kong to shoot the Shaw film "One Night Wind", the work of the famous director Bu Wancang from Shanghai to Hong Kong, Li Xianglan sang the interlude "Three Years", and later many Chinese singers competed for cover songs.
The fourth song ,"Don't Forget Tonight", is the lyrics of Mr. Chen Gexin, another pioneer of Chinese pop music, Chen Gexin is known as "Song Immortal", famous works include "Night Shanghai", "Rose Rose I Love You", "Phoenix Yu Fei", "Suzhou Riverside". He died in 1961 at the age of 47 when he was exiled in Anhui. His son Chen Gang was one of the authors of the violin concerto Liang Zhu.
The original singer of "Don't Forget Tonight" is Gong Qiuxia, the oldest singer in Shanghai after the Seven Songs, who died in September 2004 at the age of 88. The song is an episode of the 1943 film Floating Clouds And The Moon.
The tenth song "Little Window Acacia", lyrics by Situ Ming, music by Yao Min, and first sung by Cui Ping.
Cui Ping was a famous singer from Harbin to Hong Kong in the 1950s, and her famous songs include "How Precious Tonight Is", "Nanping Evening Bell", "Heart Love" and so on.
After saying this "Can't Forget Inoubliable", let's talk about the fate of Teresa Teng and other Shanghai singers.
How can there be no golden voice Zhou Xuan?
Speaking of the connection between Zhou Xuan and Teresa Teng, of course, we have to mention the famous song "He Rijun Again".
In 1937, Shanghai Yihua Film Company launched the movie "Three Stars with the Moon", and director Fang Peilin was very good at song films, so there were many song and dance scenes in this movie. In fact, this is a commercial film, sponsored by Samsung Daily.
"He Rijun Again" is one of the interludes of the film, written by Huang Jiamu, the screenwriter of Yihua Company at that time, composed by Liu Xue'an, a famous composer in modern China, and sung by the heroine of the film, Zhou Xuan.
Speaking of Huang Jiamu and Liu Xue'an, although they were related by this song "He Rijun Comes Again", they walked out of a completely different life afterwards. Huang Jiamu held public office after the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, and went to Taiwan in 1947, where he later conducted academic research on international relations and history, and died in 2004 at the age of 88. Liu Xue'an wrote the classic anti-war songs "Ballad of the Great Wall" and "Exile Trilogy", but he was imprisoned for "He Rijun's Return". He died in 1985 at the age of 80.
Teresa Teng sang the classic song "Ballad of the Great Wall" by Liu Xue'an twice in 1985 (along with Zhang Fei) and 1994.

But in fact, Liu Xue'an was dissatisfied with Huang Jiamu's words at that time. Director Fang Peilin first asked Liu Xue'an to write a song, but without Liu Xue'an's consent, he asked the company's screenwriter Huang Jiamu to fill in the lyrics. Although Liu Xue'an had a lot of criticism of the lyrics, he did not have a seizure because he was a friend.
In 1939, the famous director Cai Chusheng filmed the anti-war film "Lonely Island Paradise" in Hong Kong, using "He Rijun's Return" as an interlude, sung by the famous movie star Li Lili, the scene is a soldier who joined the army and his girlfriend to say goodbye, which is very in line with the mood of the song (much like the mood of the contemporary "The Moon Goes I Go").
However, the bad thing is that Li Xianglan also likes this song and has covered it. Years later, because of the song "He Rijun Again", Liu Xue'an was trapped in darkness for many years, blind in both eyes, and did not regain his reputation until the late 1970s.
And Teresa Teng Lijun first covered this song "He Rijun Again", which was the second version of the "Fengyang Flower Drum" album published by Cosmic Records in 1967, which replaced the original "Daughter Circle" with "When Will You Come Back", which is actually the same song version of "He Rijun Again".
"When Will You Come Back" has become a dance style that can be danced in ballroom dance.
Teresa Teng once again sang "He Rijun Again", which was "Hot Singing! Tokyo NightScape" album, which is the first time she sang "Night Fragrance".
In November 1984, Teresa Teng first included the Japanese version of "He Rijun's Return" in the album "Teresa Teng Lijun Complete Song Collection" released by Taurus Palace Records in Japan, which was very influential in Japan.
In December 1984, Teresa released her Chinese album Repayment at the Golden Bull Palace, which included a Chinese version of the newly arranged "He Rijun Again".
In March 1993, on Teresa's album Best Songs - Single Collection, she recorded a new Chinese and Japanese version of "When the Sun Comes Again".
When Teresa Teng's version of "He Rijun Comes Again" was first disseminated in the mainland, it was also titled "The Sound of Silence" and could only be secretly listened to, but this song has long been unbanned and has become one of the most widely spread Teresa Teng Lijun's famous songs in the mainland.
At that time, Li Xianglan's "He Rijun Returned" was banned, but the Japanese version of the famous Japanese female singer Watanabe Hamako spread in Japan.
Watanabe Hamako has also sung several Japanese versions of Songs related to China, including "Suzhou Nocturne" and "Night Fragrance" in addition to "When the Sun Comes Again".
In 1986, Teresa Teng and Hamako Watanabe collaborated on a Japanese variety show to sing "When the Sun Comes Again", which can be called the same stage of the century.
"He Rijun Again" is also one of the must-sing songs for Teresa Teng's concerts, starting from the 1977 Nimbashi concert in Japan, almost every large-scale concert must be sung, and at her "Fifteenth Anniversary of Love" concert in Japan, she also specifically mentioned the first singer Zhou Xuan, the great Chinese female singer.
The final song of the "One Billion Applause" concert in 1984 was "He Rijun Comes Again".
Zhou Xuan was also too red-faced and short-lived, and died in Shanghai in 1957, at the age of 37.
Teresa Teng also sang Zhou Xuan's "Tianya Song Girl", "Song of Four Seasons" and Bai Guang's "Ten Sighs" in tvb music programs in 1982. She also sang these three songs at the Elizabeth Stadium concert in Hong Kong that year.
Teresa Teng paid tribute to Zhou Xuan's 1937 appearance in "Road Angel" with a beautiful Republic of China costume.
"Tianya Song Girl" and "Song of The Four Seasons" are both composed by the famous writer and playwright Tian Han, and the famous composer He Luting.
And this song "Ten Sighs" was written by Fang Zhi and composed by Li Ping.
The first singing of "Ten Sighs" is powerful, and it is called "a generation of demons" called white light.
In 1949, Bai Guang starred in the film "Slut's Heart" at the Hong Kong Great Wall Film Company, which tells the tragic story of the woman Cai Meiying who fell into the dust in order to support her son, and is a progressive film that sympathizes with the suffering of women at that time.
Bai Guang sang "Ten Sighs" in the film, which is a condensation and portrayal of the tragic fate of Cai Meiying's life, which makes people cry, and this song has also been sung to this day.
Bai Guang's life experience in Shanghai and Hong Kong, and finally retired to Malaysia, is extremely legendary. She died in 1999 at the age of 79.
Bai Guang returned to Hong Kong in 1994 to participate in the Golden Melody Awards Ceremony of the Top Ten Chinese, and the superstar was radiant, and Xu Xiaofeng personally presented flowers for her.

At the end of 1983, during her 15th anniversary tour in Hong Kong, she sang Zhang Lu's famous song "Give Me a Kiss", but this oratorio was not included in any of her subsequent records.
Known as the "Queen of Radio" while in Shanghai, Zhang Lu moved to Hong Kong in the early 1950s. In 1953, Li Junqing filled in the lyrics of Chinese the English song "Seven Lonely Days", which was called "Give Me a Kiss", which became popular all over the world after being sung by Zhang Lu.
Wolf Uncle Hugh Jackman performed "Give Me a Bowl" on a talk show. In fact, this is what he learned to sing Chinese for the filming of "Snowflake Secret Fan", and this song also appeared in that movie.
Zhang Lu quit the music scene in the 1970s, and she also has a singer's son Du Dewei.
Zhang Lu died in January 2009 at the age of 77. She was buried in Fushouyuan, Qingpu District, Shanghai, along with Teresa Teng's only crown tomb on the mainland.
When it comes to the relationship between Chen Dieyi and Teresa Teng Lijun, it is even deeper, and this "Inoubliable without Love" also uses a paragraph of Chen Dieyi's text.
Chen Dieyi lyrics, Yao Minqu's "Lover's Tears", is an episode of the 1956 film "Love of Apricot Blossom Creek" directed by Wang, and first sung by the famous Singaporean singer Pan Xiuqiong.
Teresa has never appeared on the studio version of "Lover's Tears", but at her concert in Manila, Philippines, in 1983, someone ordered the song, and she sang "Lover's Tears". (The picture is very scummy, Uncle Wind has tried his best)
Chen Dieyi died in Hong Kong in October 2007 at the age of 99. It should be noted that for many years, I have thought that Chen Dieyi wrote lyrics, Yao Min wrote songs, and Yao Li's first singing of "Spring Wind Kisses My Face" was sung by Teresa Teng, and the answer was no.
Although Teresa Teng has never been to Shanghai, she is very eager for Shanghai. When she was in Hong Kong, she liked to eat at the Shanghai vegetarian restaurant Gong Delin. While she was in Japan, she also sang a cover song called "Shanghai Elegy" (上海エレジー), which is about the sudden homesickness of a foreign lover on the streets of Shanghai.
