At 8:44 a.m. Beijing time on August 3, Foshan athlete Zheng Pengfei will partner with Liu Hao to appear in the semi-finals of the men's 1000m double rowing boat at the Tokyo Olympics.
On August 2, in the men's 1000m double rowing competition, China's Zheng Pengfei and Liu Hao ranked first in the group with a time of 3:37.783 and advanced to the semifinals. This result was 1.245 seconds ahead of the Second-place Cuban duo in the group, and they were the only ones in the preliminaries to score 3 minutes and 38 seconds.

Zheng Pengfei and Liu Hao won several World Cup races in 2019, creating the world's best result in duisburg.
It is understood that the Chinese kayaking team sent a total of 15 players to the game, and the combination of Zheng Pengfei and Liu Hao has attracted much attention and has become a favorite to win gold.

Born in 1993, Zheng Pengfei is a native of Heilongjiang, and in 2007, at the age of 14, he crossed half of China to Shunde Sports School, not to learn kayaking, but to swim. However, due to missing the optimal age, the results are not ideal after training for a period of time. He had outstanding results in running and good endurance, and then turned to the kayaking project under the guidance of Mao Guobin, the principal of Shunde Sports School.
In the eyes of the coach, Zheng Pengfei is a child who can endure hardships and never give up after identifying a goal. Since choosing kayaking, Zheng Pengfei has insisted on hard training day after day.
After just over three years of training, Zheng Pengfei won the third place in the 2010 Provincial Games Single Rowing Boat, entered the Provincial Team in October 2011, and won the fifth place in the 5000 meters of the World Championships Single Rowing in 2014. At this year's Tokyo Olympics, Zheng Pengfei and Liu Hao combined to participate in the men's double rowing 1000 meters, while also participating in the single rowing 1000 meters competition.
