During Dr. Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary career, he had many important assistants, such as Huang Xing, Song Jiaoren, Liao Zhongkai, Hu Hanmin and so on.
In the early days, Sun Yat-sen also said: "If there are two achievements in the dry revolution, there is hope!" Who are these "two masters"? One is Deng Yanda, and the other is Zhang Minda.
About Deng Yanda, the history inn has been introduced before, and today we will take a look at Zhang Minda.

Born in 1885 in Meixian County, Guangdong Province, Zhang Minda followed his family to Malaysia in order to make a living.
In Malaysia, life gradually improved, Zhang Minda also began to go to school, not only excellent grades, but also like football, hunting, become a culture and martial arts aspiring youth.
Later, when Sun Yat-sen was raising funds for the revolution in Nanyang, Zhang Minda heard of his great name for a long time, and he was introduced by others, got to know Sun Yat-sen, and embarked on the revolutionary road from then on.
After Zhang Minda returned to China, he had been serving as Sun Yat-sen's bodyguard, and later, he felt that the boy should make meritorious contributions, so he went to Xu Chongzhi and became a major aide-de-camp.
To say that the most classic battle he fought was the Battle of Heyuan, at that time, Xu Chongzhi wanted to take Heyuan, but was counterattacked by more than 10,000 enemy troops, the situation was very critical, and it was necessary to guard the bowl kiln, otherwise, there was a danger that the entire army would be destroyed.
At this critical moment, Zhang Minda took the initiative to ask for help, led 1 battalion and 5 enemy battalions to fight fiercely for two days, and finally successfully took Heyuan and reversed the situation of the entire battlefield. Xu Chongzhi was very surprised and immediately promoted him to the head of the 18th Regiment.
In this battle alone, he was promoted from major aide-de-camp to regimental commander, which can also be called a rocket-like promotion speed!
Later, Zhang Minda won almost repeated battles in battle, and was repeatedly praised by Sun Yat-sen.
Zhang Minda had never studied military affairs, nor had he had experience in leading soldiers to fight before, so why did he achieve such great results? This is thanks to the fact that he has found a good chief of staff, who? Ye Jianying.
After Zhang Minda led his troops to fight, the first person he asked Sun Yat-sen for was Ye Jianying, and later, Ye Jianying always gave Zhang Minda as chief of staff.
The two are fellow villagers in Meixian County, Guangdong Province, who have both a common language and a common revolutionary ideal, so the cooperation is very tacit and complementary, and some people at that time jokingly said: "Minda carries a sword, and everyone is afraid!" ”
The two also forged a deep friendship during the battle, and Ye Jianying said that Zhang Minda was his revolutionary leader until his later years.
After the eastern crusade against Chen Jiongming began, Sun Yat-sen and Xu Chongzhi sent two teams, one was the Whampoa Student Army led by Chiang Kai-shek, and the other was the 2nd Division led by Zhang Minda.
Originally, Xu Chongzhi wanted to appoint Chiang Kai-shek as the commander-in-chief of the former enemy and had the right to mobilize Zhang Minda's 2nd Division, but after Zhang Minda learned about it, he directly approached Xu Chongzhi and said, "How can Chiang Kai-shek and He De command me?" Do you think I'll listen to him? In other words, if I were the commander-in-chief, he wouldn't command me! ”
Xu Chongzhi had no choice but to revoke this appointment and make himself commander-in-chief, leaving Chiang Kai-shek very faceless.
In Zhang Minda's eyes, the person he despises the most is Chiang Kai-shek, who once said bluntly: "Chiang Kai-shek is a traitor, two things before and after people, if this person is not eliminated early, it will be a hidden danger in the future!" ”
Later, Zhang Minda's 2nd Division marched all the way, fighting more and more fiercely, winning one battle after another, while the Huangpu student army led by Chiang Kai-shek was bumpy all the way and lost battles continuously, and Chiang Kai-shek was also very ashamed, writing in his diary: "Zhang Minda, is he lucky, or my life is not good?" He's my nemesis too! ”
This sentence wrote out the helplessness in his heart, and also wrote the disobedience in his heart.
On April 25, 1925, Xu Chongzhi urgently summoned Zhang Minda to Chaoshan, because Liu Zhenhuan and Yang Ximin had already plotted a rebellion in Guangzhou, and Chiang Kai-shek could not control the situation at all, so Zhang Minda could only go out.
Zhang Minda immediately rushed to Chaoshan by steamer, but unfortunately, because he was too hasty, the steamer hit a bridge, and Zhang Minda was killed on the spot, only 40 years old.
After Ye Jianying heard the news of Zhang Minda's death, he cried loudly and could not eat for three days.
The following year, the Nationalist government posthumously promoted Zhang Minda to the rank of army general, and after the founding of the People's Republic of China, New China also posthumously recognized him as a martyr.
