Huaichuan Rural Commercial Bank successfully intercepted a case of telecommunications fraud

On August 17, the Mabiao Branch of the Huaichuan Rural Commercial Bank cooperated with the Mabiao Police Station to successfully intercept a telecommunications fraud and recover 20,000 yuan of economic losses for the customer.

At about 16:45 on the same day, a customer holding a child took 20,000 yuan in cash and rushed to the Majie sub-branch to handle the business of public deposits. After inspection, there are two accounts provided by the customer, the opening bank is a branch of Shenzhen Merchants Bank and a branch of Shenzhen Agricultural Bank. Seeing that the customer looks hurried, and such an account opening bank is very rare in the countryside, out of professional habits and pre-training experience, the staff played twelve points of vigilance, asked the customer whether they knew each other and asked about the purpose of the transfer, hoping that the customer could provide his ID card to determine the identity. The customer did not speak clearly after hearing it, and he could not understand the meaning expressed by the teller, but was in a hurry to transfer money quickly. The abnormal behavior of the customer further aroused the vigilance of the handling staff.

After the repeated persuasion of the two staff members, the customer gradually let down his vigilance. After inquiry, it was learned that the customer wanted to transfer money to the person in charge of a WeChat public account. When asked about her relationship with the other party, the customer began to blink again, one moment saying that it was her brother, the other saying that he had met in the factory before, and refusing to provide the staff with identity documents throughout.

When told not to casually transfer money to strangers they met online, the customer pulled out his phone and retrieved the chat history to prove that both parties knew each other. Through the short chat, the staff found that this was very similar to the telecom fraud cases of the usual training. The other party and the customer only know one day, said that they have an investment project, fast return, high income, in the morning I wanted to let the customer WeChat transfer, but because the customer will not operate, let the customer come to the bank counter to send money to its public account. From this, the handling staff concluded that this was a telecommunications fraud.

The customer still does not believe the repeated persuasion of the staff and insists on transferring money, in order to ensure the safety of the customer's funds, one teller continues to dissuade the customer and calm the tension, and the other teller quickly calls the police and simply reflects the situation encountered. Ma Jie immediately sent two civilian police to the outlets to assist in the blocking. Through the cooperation of the staff of the network and the police, the case was filed, and the occurrence of the telecommunications fraud was successfully blocked and property losses were avoided.
