Born in 1933 in Qiqihar, northeast China, Liu Liankun joined the party during the Liberation War in 1947 and served as the director of the Ordnance Department of the General Logistics Department of our army, responsible for the procurement and production of ordnance, and had access to various confidential materials. He was awarded the rank of major general in 1988, with a wide range of contacts in the military, a smooth career, and instinctively retired after being promoted to lieutenant general, but in 1992 he was punished for economic problems and his promotion was hopeless. In fact, to say that economic problems are to give him face is actually corruption. The result was that Liu Liankun lost the opportunity to be promoted to lieutenant general, and then became dissatisfied. This is the ugly place in Liu Liankun's heart, he made a mistake, did not give you a hand, did not want to repent, but also resentful? It doesn't make sense for you to be promoted!
As early as 1989, the Intelligence Bureau of the Taiwan District took advantage of the mainland's reform and opening up to dispatch a large number of intelligence personnel disguised as Taiwan businessmen to infiltrate the mainland. It was also during this period that Colonel Shao Zhengzong of our army was plotted against by Zhang Zhipeng, a special agent of the Taiwan district; this Shao Zhengzong was a native of Shenyang, Liaoning Province, and since 1986 he had been the director of the Factory Management Bureau of the Ordnance Department of the General Logistics Department of our army. How to say that he is also an old revolutionary, he must have no consciousness, and he really humiliates the old revolution.

In November 1992, Liu Liankun, who was in Beijing, took a train south to Guangzhou in order not to be discovered by his superiors. After careful arrangement, Liu Liankun met with a deputy director of the Taiwan Military Intelligence Service, Da Wei (pseudonym Wang Baoyuan), in Yuexiu Park, Guangzhou, and Da Wei briefed Liu Liankun on the treatment, key tasks, and contact methods he received later--he also received the rank of major general and the treatment of major general, with a monthly salary of 3500 US dollars, in 1992. About 19,000 yuan, in addition, he also has an additional work bonus, that is, every time a batch of information is provided, the Taiwan side will pay a "commission" ranging from about 86,000 yuan to millions of yuan, which is directly transferred by the Taiwan side to Liu Liankun's overseas bank account, all of which is silent and highly secure. After Liu Liankun retired, he also promised to take care of his life, and according to his own wishes, he could choose to live abroad or live in Baodao.

In 1996, China conducted a large-scale military exercise and envisioned the reconquest of the Taiwan region, but Liu Liankun, a traitor, provided relevant information to the Taiwan Military Intelligence Bureau three months before the military exercise began, so our side has not yet begun to act, and the Taiwan region has adopted targeted defensive measures militarily, so that our army's efforts have been wasted, which is simply hateful. Not only that, Liu Liankun also provided intelligence to the United States, so whether it is the United States or the Taiwan region, it can always seize the opportunity, which makes our army finally determine that there must be traitors in the high-level, why say it is high-level, because ordinary people can not get such a high degree of intelligence.
Speaking of this, I have to say that Liu Liankun's exposure is also inseparable from Lee Teng-hui's "help." In the 1996 Taiwan regional election, our army held an unprecedented military exercise in the Taiwan Strait to deter. In order to "appease the people," Lee Teng-hui blurted out: The warheads used in the mainland's exercises are "empty dumb bombs, which only scare people." This statement can be regarded as exposed. Finally, in March 1999, Liu Liankun's identity as a traitor was locked. After the arrest, Liu Liankun and a cadre of other people involved in the case were all arrested. According to overseas statistics, Liu Liankun provided a large amount of classified intelligence to the Taiwan side in the seven years before his arrest in 1999.
As for why we only cracked this case in 1999, it is because the level of personnel involved is very high, so the progress of the investigation is very slow.
Later, after interrogation, Liu Liankun also confessed what he knew and confessed to his crime, and was sentenced to S sentence by the military court, which was executed in August of the same year.
Liu Liankun's wife, also dissatisfied with Liu Liankun's use as a spy and involving her children, refused to claim Liu Liankun's body.
