Han Meilin, born on December 26, 1936 in Shandong, is a highly influential genius plastic artist in contemporary China, who has a high degree of achievement in painting, calligraphy, sculpture, ceramics, design and even writing, etc., from large to imposing, small to subtle insight, unique artistic style, distinctive personality characteristics, especially committed to absorbing the essence of Chinese culture and folk art before the Two Han Dynasties, and embodied as a work of art with modern aesthetic concepts and international vocabulary, is a tireless art practitioner and pioneer. He is a national first-class artist, a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, and a researcher at the Central Museum of Culture and History.
Han Meilin's animal ink paintings are mostly based on the theme of common animals in life, including donkeys, ponies, monkeys, as well as eagles, deer, etc., they look innocent, childlike and lively, very cute. They are all cute in Han Meilin's pen.
