Created by Han Meilin, the new LOGO of the National Botanical Garden was unveiled!

On April 18, the National Botanical Gardens were officially inaugurated. According to reports, the Establishment of the National Botanical Garden is to expand capacity and efficiency on the basis of the existing resources of the Institute of Botany of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Beijing Botanical Garden, with a total planning area of nearly 600 hectares. It is worth noting that the new logo of the National Botanic Gardens was also officially unveiled on the same day.

The national botanical garden logo was created and designed by Han Meilin, a famous art master in the mainland. The logo consists of three parts: graphics, Chinese and English fonts. The graphic section is a fusion of China's most representative endemic rare plants: Ginkgo biloba and Metasequoia (the yellow fruit of Ginkgo biloba and the leaves of Metasequoia). The green gradient arc on the right side of the leaf resembles the English letter C (the first letter of CHINA). The whole composition is a circle, representing the earth we live on, and protecting the plants is to protect us humans and other life on the earth.

The logo embodies the concept of natural ecological balance, using a spiral pattern of balance between top and bottom, using the ancient and simple philosophical form of traditional Chinese culture to depict the natural world, and cleverly using the artistic deformation and plasticity treatment of plant forms to balance Metasequoia and Ginkgo biloba leaves into a suitable whole. This design expresses the concept of paying attention to the balance and harmony of natural ecology and the construction of ecological civilization, which is also one of the missions of the National Botanical Garden.
