Liu Shaomin, born in 1965, is an outstanding young and middle-aged calligrapher, but also a veritable hanging paper calligrapher. When he was hanging the paper to create, he saw it with his heart, and it was done in one go, and between the transfers, it did not flow, and the strength was charming, jumping on the paper, and it was natural. His calligraphy is rooted in tradition, the sandalwood is changed in the cervical spine, the inscriptions are integrated, the four bodies are both good, the pen is exquisite, the structure is rigorous, and the look is relaxed. He is currently a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association and a member of the Contemporary Famous Calligraphers and Painters Association.
The painting was pointed out by the famous painter Professor Zhang Jinghui, on the basis of absorbing the essence of traditional ink painting, drawing on the decorative interest in the works of Mr. Han Meilin, a master of modern arts and crafts, and using anthropomorphic painting method to express the lively and cute pet Persian cat, exquisite and chic.
His works have participated in national exhibitions and won awards many times, and have been selected by Calligraphy Newspaper, Calligraphy Herald, China Art News, China Yilin, included in the compilation of "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Expo", "Contemporary Calligraphy and Painting Art Elite Ink Fine Appreciation" and other books, and have been invited to the National Defense University, Air Force Headquarters, Xinjiang Military Region, Southern Xinjiang Military Region, Henan Provincial Military Region, Jilin Provincial Military Region, Dalian Customs, Shantou Customs, Nanjing Customs, Ningbo Customs, Lanzhou Customs, Urumqi Customs, Xinjiang Security Bureau and other units for exchange and creation. He has held solo or group exhibitions hundreds of times in more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, and has been invited to write the title of the TV film produced by CCTV, and created calligraphy and painting works for dozens of senior generals of the People's Liberation Army, which are highly praised.

Calligraphy works, whether it is Lishu, Xingshu, or Seal Calligraphy, are amazing, especially the Calligraphy I appreciate the most, its calligraphy dot painting coordination, the knot body rectangular steep, divided cloth white, neat and rigorous, the middle palace is tight, the main pen is elongated, the momentum is unrestrained; dense and elegant, flat and straight, steep, vivid, deep European calligraphy is strict, square and rigorous, strong and dangerous, and at the same time has its own stretched atmosphere of the wind bone, with outstanding artistic characteristics.
The paintings have also attracted much attention, especially the cats painted by Mr. Wang. He liked to draw Persian cats, and it was anthropomorphic. The cats in his pen have the style of Mr. Han Meilin's animal paintings, as well as the large freehand forms, and the parts also have the delicacy of the brush strokes. He melts the abstraction of large freehand, the childlike fun of Mr. Han Meilin's animal paintings, and the fibers of gongbi paintings into one furnace, organically combining tradition and innovation, exquisite and chic, lively and cute. He paints the cat that runs and chases the butterfly, the cat that sits peacefully, the cat that hides the flowers, the cat that envies the fish by the pool... It's really poor and interesting. He paired cats with narcissus, peonies, willow leaves, chrysanthemums, rocks and other auspicious things, and interpreted the novelty of his paintings with traditional themes: cats have risen to high in office on stones and their lives and careers are thriving; cats and butterflies are harmonious with "elderly", which means longevity (the nickname of age: seventy is ancient, eighty is old), peony symbolizes wealth, and the cat butterfly is rich and long-lived; the "immortal" of the daffodil is the same as the "immortal" of the immortal, borrowed as a wish; the Persian cat is the mascot that symbolizes wealth, and the six cats represent Shun shunli. Ten cats are perfect, firmly grasping the aesthetic proposition of "elegant and common appreciation". Painting is extremely easy to be vulgar, and it is extremely difficult to be elegant. It is difficult to achieve elegant and customary appreciation.
Liu Shaomin loves calligraphy and painting too much, now calligraphy and painting has become a part of his life, but the fate is difficult, the last time he did a cervical spine surgery, there are 4 steel plates in the neck, can not bow his head on the table to write and draw, at home he writes on the iron wall, there is no iron wall on the business trip, he practices hanging the paper up to write, this time he got a tennis elbow with his right hand, he can't write for several months, he really can't stand it, so he uses his left hand to write.
He said that since he liked calligraphy and painting, he also paid a huge price for it, and after forty years of consistent persistence to this day, he would use his life's energy to do the things he liked to the best he could!
He now uses his left hand to write calligraphy, xingshu, lishu, and seal book, and has written out the realm that he wants to write with his right hand, achieving a qualitative leap, which is unique in the history of Chinese calligraphy.
Liu Shaomin was invited to create calligraphy and painting works for more than 200 republican generals; he filmed and broadcast the title of the inscription for CCTV; he was "the first person to write vertically with the left hand of Chinese rice paper", ordinary thin rice paper, with a little force the paper will break, do not force the strength of writing, coupled with the paper puller's hand is constantly shaking, it is even more difficult to write vertically with the left hand; the Persian cat he painted with the anthropomorphic painting method is exquisite and chic, lively and cute, known as "painting cats is a must", in Baidu search ~ "Liu Shaomin calligraphy and painting" can see his works and materials.
