These landscape photographs were created by Fkun during his travels around the world, and in front of the dreamy scenery, he ingeniously cut out some very literary words and phrases, placed them in the foreground, and photographed the text and the landscape together. The final photo is not only poetic, but each one is like a vinyl album cover by Bossa Nova or Jazz.

Born in Provence, France in 1950, Bernard Phoecon studied philosophy and theology. In 1976, Falcon photographed his first works. He believed that "set photography" was the "Swan Song" of the artistic medium of "photography", the final stage before it was dominated by pure digital imagery and advertising photography.

In 1995, when Fognon's belief in the true power of photography faded to the point where there was no longer any reason to construct "real fictional" scenes, he decided to end his photographic work.

After Fkun has held hundreds of exhibitions around the world, after stopping photography, Fcon launched an event called "The Most Beautiful Day of My Youth". The imagery spree swept across 25 countries, attracted hundreds of young photographers, and culminated in a wonderful group show for us.

Since its inception, words have permeated Fruncon's work. However, it was not until 2000 that writing finally replaced photography and became Fcon's main creative method– he published literary works such as "Fear of Travel", "Summer 2550", "Before the Time" and so on.

The works on display in Chengdu this time are all old works by Bernard Falcon 30 years ago. In 1991, he finished shooting the classic theme of portraits and landscapes, "Idols and Sacrifices", and began to experiment with the form of text embedded in landscapes. He recorded the carefully polished sentences he had felt, and then made them into words with reflective light effects, so that these words were clearly visible at a distance, blending with the scenery behind them. He expresses intuitive thoughts in words, parallel to images, thus giving new meaning to the landscape.

In June, Fkun also wrote a "Guide to the Exhibition" for the exhibition to the Chengdu audience, explaining in detail the photographic creativity that seems very avant-garde after 30 years. He said that when creating the "Writing" series, he first wrote sentences by hand, then enlarged the handwriting to the size of half a meter to a meter and reassembled it with a wooden board, and then attached a reflective film material (scotchlight) to the surface of the board.

"After that, I embarked on a journey with the prepared text: Morocco, Italy, Provence, Vietnam, Thailand... I placed them in a landscape that fits in with it. The moment the flash was pressed, the originally dim words—what I thought—were instantly lit up as shining bands of light. Fkong also said that he was not yet 40 years old when he created the series, "Now it seems that these works and words are like sad prophecies, which have become a grim reality for me 30 years later." ”

Currently, Speaking out of the world of photography, Vercon is working on an autobiographical video art project called My Way, driving on highways around the world to tell his artistic life in a romantic way.
