The biggest cage in life is the prejudice of one's own thoughts.
In life, what really constrains a person is not an external thing, but an invisible shackle in the mind, which depends on one's own attachment to the problem.
Everyone has a pursuit, everyone is more obsessed, when a person is driven by greed and anger, he will inadvertently over-cling to a state that should not be cared about, this time is the beginning of life's mistakes.
Just as the so-called saying: thicker than the sound, born of cowardice. Thicker than the goods, greedy disease. Thicker than work, born of disease. Thicker than reputation, born of orthodontic disease.
Indulging in singing and dancing will cause the problem of weakness and timidity. Greed for money and profit will cause insatiable greed. If you are keen on making a contribution, you will cause the problem of pretentiousness. Obsessing over reputation and fame will cause the problem of extreme sentimentality.
The biggest problem in life is not the emotion, but the obsession behind the emotion, and the root of all this obsession is the idea that is enslaved by greed and anger.
When there is prejudice in the mind, there is attachment in the consciousness, which leads to some deviation in behavior.
Therefore, the mistakes in behavior are caused by prejudices in thoughts, and it is difficult for a person to escape the cage of his own prejudices in his lifetime.
There is such a view in Taoist thought, called "absolutely holy renunciation of wisdom", many people when they hear this sentence, they will popularly understand this sentence as the abandonment of personal wisdom, in fact, this is a misunderstanding.
The so-called absolute abandonment of wisdom is not the abandonment of one's own thoughts, but the subjective prejudice and self-ingenuity in the mind.
It is as if in life, many people will always cling to prejudices, and blindly show off their clever means, trying to obtain the life they want, no matter whether this ignorant behavior he insists on is successful or unsuccessful from a secular point of view, but from the objective nature of things, his thoughts already exist in a cage.
This cage is to deviate from objective self-righteousness, and this is what we should abandon, and only by letting go of self-righteous cleverness can we approach the great wisdom of life that conforms to objectivity.
Little wisdom can not bring permanent blessings to life, only with great wisdom to conform to objective rules, in a way that conforms to justice and reason, can you get the life you want, and this is also a state that can escape the cage of your own thoughts.
There is such a sentence in "Zhuangzi", which is called: to know small and know greatly, to be good and self-good.
This means that only by abandoning small wisdom can we exert great wisdom, and only by removing the psychology of self-righteousness can we embody the true nature of self-kindness.

Only by letting go of the burden of one's own thinking can we truly understand the objective world and bring ourselves a suddenly correct state of life, rather than being limited to our own shallow worldly prejudices and showing off the worldly means of thinking that we are smart.
Zhuangzi once said such a story:
Le yuko performed his archery skills for Bo Dim, and he pulled the bow full and at the same time put a glass of water on his elbow, the first arrow flew out to the bullseye, and the second arrow could hit the same target.
At this time, Lie Yukou could not move like a puppeteer, and Bo Di said without looking at it: "This is a shot with a heart to shoot an arrow, not a shot without a heart." If I climbed a mountain with you, stood on a towering stone, and below was the abyss, would you still be able to shoot arrows? ”
So Bo Duan did not climb the high platform, his feet stepped on the dangerous stone, he was in the abyss, his back was facing the abyss, his heel was hanging in the air, and he invited Lie Yukou up, and Lie Yukou was so afraid that he lay on the ground, and cold sweat flowed to his heels.
No one said, "To the people, look up at the blue sky, down to measure the Yellow Spring, run in all directions, and look unchanged." Now you're panicked, uncertain, and it's hard to hit a target. ”
A person's best state is to let the behavior come from between his own "no-mind", and the so-called no-mind is the delusion of non-self-righteousness.
When a person has removed the prejudices of his own thinking, he can achieve relative objectivity, which is the greatest freedom of the spirit.
If you go forward with the shackles of thought, it is as if The Imperial Guard is stepping on a dangerous stone and is in the abyss, and the cold sweat of fear will flow to the heels, because this is the state of "carrying the weight forward".
Do not let yourself fall into the ignorance of imperceptible awareness, one can have thoughts, but do not let thoughts become the burden of one's own life, and being able to come out of the prejudices of one's own thoughts is the greatest freedom in life, which is more valuable than any material freedom.
The affairs of the world are complex and complex, and only by looking at them with no intention can we avoid being seduced by greed and anger in the complicated state of the world, and lose ourselves and thus commit wrong behavior.
True freedom from transcendental things, even in the face of the chaos of things, can be quiet and free.
To take a popular example, it is as if in life, some people are always moved by the world, when they encounter problems, they are busy, even if they do not encounter problems, they are also lost in the impact of complex thoughts and emotions.
But some people can be calm, no matter what they have encountered, what they have experienced, or what kind of environment they are in, they can handle their lives and face their lives in a relatively leisurely way.
Such a different way brings a completely different life, and the root of all this is in the essence of the quiet and inaction of one's own heart.
Reaching the essence of the tranquility of life naturally reduces many ideological entanglements.
