Ma Huateng introduced that the "Star Discovery Plan" jointly launched by the two sides will use "cloud + AI" to help China Sky Eye FAST process the huge data received every day based on the leading computer vision technology of Tencent Youtu Lab and the leading computing power of Tencent Cloud, and find pulsar clues through visual AI analysis.

The data generated by FAST in 1 week, equivalent to about 30 million signal maps, if processed with the human eye, at a rate of 1 shot per second, under the condition of not eating, drinking or resting, it takes a year to process. If it is pre-screened by AI, it only takes 3 days to complete, which will greatly save labor time costs.

Pulsars are called beacons in the universe, and studying them promises answers to many major astrophysical questions. With the assistance of AI, the efficiency of pulsar search will be significantly improved.

As a major national scientific and technological infrastructure, China Tianyan FAST is currently the most sensitive radio telescope in the world, and with the help of AI, it will better help China's in-depth research in the field of astronomy and astrophysics.

Ma Huateng stressed that the unknown of human beings to AI is still greater than what is known. To pursue "science and technology for good", it is necessary to promote "AI to good" and make AI technology "knowable, controllable, available and reliable".
