On the morning of September 29, the "Dream of the Red Chamber" Cultural Exhibition, co-sponsored by the National Museum of China, the Guangdong Provincial Bureau of Cultural Heritage and the Guangdong Provincial Museum, and supported by the Beijing Cao Xueqin Society and other institutions, opened in the first and second exhibition halls on the third floor of Yuebo.
The exhibition is divided into five parts, with a total of 413 pieces/sets of ancient books and rare books, cultural relics and artifacts, calligraphy and paintings, scholars' manuscripts, art works, intangible cultural heritage works and various auxiliary exhibits. Starting from the background of the creation of "Dream of the Red Chamber", the scenes in the novel, the people, etc., and the influence on future generations, we will gradually analyze the cultural phenomena that appear around the historical masterpiece of "Dream of the Red Chamber" and experience its historical, artistic and literary value.
The exhibition will run until 9 January 2022.
