International online report: On February 18, the memorial service of the famous artist Mr. Yan Su was held in Babaoshan, Beijing, and more than 1,000 people from all walks of life, such as the relatives of Comrade Yan Su, the friends before his death, the representatives of his hometown, and more than a thousand people from all walks of life spontaneously came to the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery in Beijing to bid farewell to the people's artists in their hearts. Mr. Yan Su died in Beijing on 12 February at the age of 86. At the 2015 Person of the Year Awards Ceremony held on the 14th of this month, Mr. Yan Su was elected.
Yan Su, whose original name was Yan Zhiyang, was born on May 9, 1930 in Baoding, Hebei Province, and was a famous writer, playwright, and lyricist. Yan Su wrote the opera "Sister Jiang" and wrote lyrics for the theme song "Red Mezan", making it a well-known classic song. In the TV series "Journey to the West", a song "Dare to Ask Where the Road Is" made his name enter thousands of households. In addition, Yan Su has also created several influential modern Peking Opera plays, such as Peking Opera "Red Light Illumination", "Red Girl Scout Army", "Red Rock", "Nian Nian Youyu", etc., which are loved by the audience.
