Four-value Gong Cao
Also known as "Gong Cao on Duty". The four small gods who are on duty in the heavenly court, the month, the day, and the time of the heavenly court, which are believed in Taoism, are equivalent to the duty gods in the celestial realm. They are Li Bing, the god of the year, Huang Chengyi, the god of the moon, Zhou Deng, the god of the sun, and Liu Hong, the god of time.
The functions and deeds of the Four Values Gong Cao are mostly recorded in Ming and Qing novels. In addition to serving as a meritorious official, the Four-Value Gong Cao also served as a guardian deity.
Twenty-eight gods
The twenty-eight gods were originally the names of the stars, and the ancient astrologers called the celestial areas through which the sun and moon passed "ecliptic", and divided the stars in the ecliptic into four groups of green dragon, suzaku, white tiger and xuanwu according to the southeast and northwest directions, with seven houses in each of the four sides. Taoism believes that each constellation has a divine general, that is, there are a total of twenty-eight divine generals, collectively known as the twenty-eight houses.
The Taoist Scripture records the rain, strong winds, fierce winds, terrifying winds, auspicious clouds, and oblique winds and drizzles in the human world of the Seven Heavenly Stars of the East. The Northern Seven Stars Monarch Cloud Qi, Yin and Yang, Whirlwind Walking Stone, Yin Feng, Yin Cold Rain and so on. The Seven Heavenly Stars of the West monarchs are windy and rainy, windy, sunny, heaven and earth open, etc. The Monarch of the Seven Southern Stars is dusk, sunny, uneven and hot.
