CCTV News (News Network): Wang Min was the deputy chief procurator of the Shucheng County People's Procuratorate in Lu'an City, Anhui Province. On June 19 this year, due to a sudden illness, Wang Min fell on the front line of handling the case, and after ineffective rescue and sacrifice, his life was fixed at the age of 53.
At the Shucheng County People's Procuratorate, where Wang Min worked before his death, his office was filled with various materials.
Wang Min has been rooted in the procuratorial frontline for 33 years, starting from the clerk of the Shucheng County Procuratorate, and has handled nearly 2,000 cases of various types, large and small, without a single wrong case, not a single overdue detention, and no procuratorial petition, and the case closure rate has long been among the best in the unit. He often said that the quality of judicial cases is as important as efficiency.
For more than 30 years, whether commuting to work or going out to handle cases, Wang Min has always ridden a bicycle and carried a convenience bag with him. Saving time to handle cases and giving priority to thinking about problems from the perspective of work has long been his habit. In the minds of colleagues, Wang Min is a legal "living dictionary" that can be consulted at any time, and for every newcomer who has just entered the industry, he will correct them one by one, from typos to punctuation errors.
After Wang Min's sacrifice, in accordance with his last wishes, his family donated his cornea, and Wang Min left the last light of his life in the world. On October 22, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security and the Supreme People's Procuratorate posthumously awarded Comrade Wang Min the title of "National Model Procurator".
