Zhao Ziyue (1909.6.1.~1997.3.25), actor, from Guxian County, Shanxi. In 1932, he graduated from the National Art College in Hangzhou and served as a music and art teacher in middle and primary schools.
Since 1937, he has successively served as the working group of the Anze County Sacrifice National Salvation League, the Taihang District Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Taihang Mountain Opera Troupe, the Taihang Military Region Pioneer Theater Troupe and the Peking Opera Troupe of the Military Region, serving as the head of the regiment.
Zhao Ziyue is known for being good at playing the role of a farmer and is good at comedy style. In addition to the comedy film "Icing on the Cake", he also participated in the filming of more than ten movies and TV series such as "After the Armistice", "Red Flag Spectrum" and "Finding the World To Return".
There is an oral work "Biography of Zhao Ziyue" that has survived. Zhao Ziyue is the third and fourth director of the China Film Association. He died of illness in 1997. He died on December 31, 2012 at the age of 8

Zhao Ziyue was born on July 31, 1909 (the 15th day of the sixth lunar month) to an ordinary family in Chengguan Village, Chengguan Town, Guxian County, Shanxi Province. My grandfather was a painter. His father graduated from the law department of Peking University of China, worked as a Chinese language teacher under Yan Xishan, and was promoted to the county magistrate of Huairen County, Shanxi in 1931.
Zhao Ziyue lost his mother at an early age and was raised by his grandparents. Under the influence of his grandfather, he loved painting and music since he was a child, especially for folk singing activities during rural New Year's festivals and drum accompaniment during weddings and funerals. When he was twelve or thirteen years old, he learned to play the flute, pull the board beard, play the three strings, and so on.
After the founding of New China, Zhao Ziyue served as the deputy director of the Shanxi Provincial Drama Association. At this time, the film crew of Beijing Film Studio's "The Legend of Lü Liang Heroes" went to the Lvliang Mountains in Shanxi to shoot the location, and Zhao Ziyue was responsible for the reception work. Director Lu Ban borrowed him to play the peasant Kang Tiancheng in the film, which became the beginning of his career as a film actor.
After the filming of "The Legend of the Heroes of Lü Liang" was completed, Shi Dongshan invited Zhao Ziyue to play the guerrilla leader Hei Lao Cai in the "Biography of the New Children's Heroes" directed by him. The black old Cai portrayed by Zhao Ziyue was not artificially smeared with a superhuman color like the party's leadership image expressed in some films at that time, but not only vividly showed the calm and resolute side of the black old Cai in the struggle against the enemy, but also vividly showed the simple and loyal other side of the black old Cai as an ordinary laborer. In 1981, he donated the 10,000 yuan he had saved as a fund for the "Young Actor Progress Award of the North Film Studio" to cultivate and reward young actors.
