The story takes place in the Ming Dynasty: Zhang Yuanxiu and his wife, who sold tofu for a living, were over sixty years old and had no children under their knees, and when they passed the Qingfeng Pavilion, they picked up a baby boy and named him Ji Bao, and Han Xinru painstakingly raised him for thirteen years. When Ji Bao learned of his origins, he cried and ran out to find his biological parents. Zhang Yuanxiu chased his son to the Qingfeng Pavilion, and happened to meet Zhou Guiying, the heir apparent, to the Qingfeng Pavilion to find his son. Zhang Yuanxiu could not bear to let Zhou Guiying endure the suffering of losing his son anymore, and he was afraid that he would not be able to cultivate The Successor to become a talent, so he endured the pain and returned the Successor to Zhou Guiying. Zhang Yuanxiu's wife, He Shisizi, was eager and blind, and the two had to beg along the street to find Ji Bao in their twilight years.
