The "Grim Reaper" MV, included in singer and composer Yonezu Genshi's latest single album Pale Blue, has exceeded 10 million views after 12 days and 6 hours of public release.

After the MV was released, hot search terms such as "Yonezu Genshi", "Yonezu", "Kenshi Yonezu", "Shinigami" and other hot search terms appeared on Twitter. On YouTube, the song also appeared on the "Popularity Boom Music Chart".

The MV director is Tetsuya Nagato, the art director who collaborated with Yonezu for the first time. The song "Grim Reaper" is inspired by "Grim Reaper", one of the classical Rakugo tracks, and its music video is filmed on the stage of Rakugo Field. From rakugo to death to audience, all the characters are played by Yonezu himself. Among them, the acting director of the Rakugo artist is Yanagi Tei Zuolong.

In the filming tidbits of the "Grim Reaper" MV previously published in Yonezu Genji's Twitter, ins account and TikTok, the "five viewers" played by Yonezu himself became the focus of attention. The "five spectators" will stand up from the audience one after another after the Rakugo artist has finished the curtain of the "Vanishing Grim Reapers" and clapped their hands. The MV is based on the classic rakugo "Grim Reaper" as a sample, depicting a variety of characters, including the near-present image of the Grim Reaper. (Fisherman's Bread/Translation)
