"This year's early-ripening Bentan was listed around September 5, and I have seen those Wendan in the main production areas, and the quality is not bad." This year there is plenty of rain, and the early ripening Wendan looks good, big and tastes good. Chen Qingying said that compared with the sweet and sour of ordinary Wendan, the precocious Wendan is more sweet and more favored by consumers in Hangzhou and Shanghai.

According to sales in previous years, Chen Qingying predicts that the price of early Wendan this year will be slightly higher than last year. "Although the typhoon has not caused much damage so far, the cold wave last winter has caused Wendan to freeze, and the yield per mu has declined." However, this year, the planting area of Yuhuan Early Maturing Wendan has expanded by 100 mu compared with last year, almost 700 mu, and the total output is expected to be 1300 tons. ”

The reporter noted that many Wendan planting merchants in Yuhuan began the pre-sale of precocious Wendan in early August. Ms. Peng, a merchant in Qinggang Town's Yuangen Village, said that the production of early Wendan was not much, and it was picked on September 13 last year and sold out on the 18th. This year's sales situation may be better, the current price is about 10 yuan a catty.
