Hello everyone, I'm a shock. Today's fifth episode of Fuzhou's history: Wang Zhenzhi's brothers founded the Fujian kingdom, a 36-year short-lived dynasty, laying the cornerstone for Fuzhou's long-term development.

In order to clarify the history of Fujian, I divide it into three parts.

The Wang Brothers founded the State of Fujian, a 36-year short-lived dynasty, laying the cornerstone for Fuzhou's long-term development

First, Wang Chao wang zhi brothers joined forces to create the fujian state, and Fuzhou entered a new period of prosperity.

At the end of the Tang Dynasty, the Huangchao Rebellion was in chaos. Wang Zhenzhi, a native of Gushi, Henan, who was born in 862 AD, joined the peasant army led by Wang Xu in 885 with his two older brothers, Wang Chao and Wang Zhenyi. Soon, they followed Wang Xu's team into Fujian.

Wang Xu was suspicious and killed innocents indiscriminately. Wang Zhizhi's brother Wang Chao joined forces with the generals and imprisoned Wang Xu, who was supported as the leader of the rebel army, and Wang Xianzhi and his second brother Wang Xianyi were made deputy generals. Wang Chao's troops grew rapidly in the area of Quanzhou, Zhangzhou, Changting. In 886, the rebel army captured quanzhou city, and Wang Chao was appointed by The Fujian Observer Chen Yan as the assassin of Quanzhou, so the rebel army returned to the imperial court.

In Wang Chao's army, Wang Zhenzhi sympathized with his subordinates, shared weal and woe with the soldiers, was approachable, and had a high prestige in the army. Their ranks were disciplined and Qiu did not commit any crimes. It has won the support of the people of Fujian.

In 891, Chen Yan was critically ill. Chen Yan's brother-in-law' Fuzhou Protector made Fan Hui steal power, causing Chen Yan's subordinates to be dissatisfied and asked Wang Chao to send troops to attack Fuzhou. Wang Chao sent Wang Zhenzhi as the capital governor and conquered Fuzhou in 893. Because Wang Zhenzhi was deeply popular with the people, after invading Fuzhou, he also buried Chen Yan generously, treating Chen Yan's family and subordinates kindly, and warlords in various places followed one after another. Wang Chao's brothers soon unified the whole territory of Fujian and created the Wang Min regime.

In 897, before Wang Chao's death, wang Zhenzhi was chosen as the heir to power. On January 9, 898, Wang Chao died, and Wang Zhenzhi took the throne. In March of the same year, the Tang court appointed Wang Zhenzhi as an envoy to the mighty army and ruled over all of Fujian.

In 901, Emperor Zhaozong of Tang made him the King of Langya. In 909, Liang Taizu made Wang Zhi the King of Min, and the Min King style was established. Wang Zhizhi served as the King of Min until the third year of Later Tang Tongguang, that is, died in 925, at the age of 64, and actually ruled Fuzhou and Fujian for 27 years. After Wang Zhenzhi's death, his sons and grandchildren killed each other in order to fight for power, and with the invasion of foreign enemies, the min state quickly declined, and it was destroyed in 945.

Second, Wang Zhenzhi made great efforts to govern, and Fuzhou and Fujian achieved great development, laying the cornerstone of Fuzhou's prosperity in the next 1,000 years.
