On October 7, China's first 1,935 tons of grain cargo on the Hunan-Guangdong-Non-Sea-Rail Intermodal Train set sail from COSCO SHIPPING's COSCO Shipping Port Guangzhou Nansha Port Terminal (hereinafter referred to as CSP Guangzhou Nansha Wharf) and sailed to Mombasa Port in Kenya, Africa, on the COSCO YINGKOU (COSCO Yingkou) ferry. This is the country's first Hunan-Guangdong non-sea-rail intermodal train, cosco Shipping issued a full bill of lading and one ticket to the end, in Zhuzhou to complete the cargo packing and customs declaration, Guangzhou Nansha inspection and release, integrated customs clearance.

This is also the third international logistics channel "going to sea" through CSP Guangzhou Nansha Wharf in the past two years, following the international logistics channels of "Central Asia-Guangzhou Port-Southeast Asia" and "Ganzhou-Guangzhou Port-Africa".

The cargo "going to sea" from CSP Guangzhou Nansha Wharf is an important aid material for Africa - rice, with a total weight of 1935 tons and the first batch of 42 containers. CSP Guangzhou Nansha Terminal Company attaches great importance to the construction of non-international logistics channels in Hunan and Guangdong, and has set up a special working group to coordinate and follow up in multiple links to ensure that barges transferred from Huangpu Port Area can be quickly loaded and unloaded, piled up, and prepared for loading foreign trade liners.

Compared with the traditional Zhuhai route, the opening of the Hunan-Guangdong non-sea-rail intermodal train reduces the cargo damage and cargo difference caused by the subsequent repeated loading and unloading of goods, and also saves the time and cost of enterprises, providing a more convenient and economical full-chain integrated logistics solution for Hunan and even the central and western regions to "go to sea".

The full transit time of the basic port in East Africa can be shortened by 10 days;

The full transit time to the basic port in West Africa can be shortened by 9 days, and the full transportation cost can be saved by about 3%;

Compared with the highway port model, the Xiangyue non-channel can reduce the cost of front-trip logistics by 60%.

As of September 2021, Guangzhou Nansha Port District has a total of 22 African routes, the largest number of non-container routes in the country, rich route products, covering major ports in Africa, and the export volume of African goods in 2020 is about 700,000 TEU. In recent years, Guangzhou Port has increased the construction of "dry port" in the hinterland of cargo sources, and has set up 30 inland offices in Hunan, Southwest and other places, forming a hub-type port logistics integrated service system with the seaport as the hub and the combination of "sea transport + inland" two networks, so that the "last kilometer" of goods going to sea is smoother.

For the first time, the new Hunan-Guangdong non-rail-sea intermodal transport channel has built an "end-to-end" full logistics channel from Hunan and the surrounding economic hinterland to countries on the African continent, realizing the whole process of bill of lading, one ticket to the end, providing "hinterland-to-hinterland" and "door-to-door" logistics services. COSCO SHIPPING, COFCO, Guangzhou Port, Shanghai Greenford, Zhuzhou Chengfa and other parties give full play to the resources and advantages of the industry field, build the Hunan-Guangdong-Non-China Corridor into a pan-China-Africa express line in the actual sense, form a logistics channel that radiates the whole country to support pan-China-Africa (Asia-Pacific, Middle East, Latin America) trade, help central and western enterprises "go to sea", and promote in-depth cooperation between China and Africa into the fast lane.
