My name is Liu Wenjie, I am a nurse in charge of the Blood Purification Center of CUHK Hospital, and I am a 10-year-old Communist Party member. At 9:00 a.m. on July 27, I received an urgent notice from the hospital about the outbreak of the epidemic in Nanjing, and immediately took the initiative to sign up as a member of the first batch of medical teams from CUHK Hospital to go to Tangshan to support the medical team. With a nervous and excited mood, I immediately packed up my belongings and set off, the day was heavy rain, wind and rain, but nothing could stop my firm pace of fighting the epidemic.
This group of 76 medical teams was destined for the Tangshan Branch of Nanjing Second Hospital. Arriving at the station at 12:00 noon, the hospital conducted emergency training for us on epidemic prevention and control, and immediately arranged to come to the Tangshan campus as soon as the training ended. I was assigned to the general ward as a sensory control nurse.
The so-called infection control, simply put, is to let medical staff and patients not be infected during this hospitalization. Specific work includes supervising medical staff to put on and take off protective equipment, disinfecting corners and corners, disposing of garbage, and finding and reporting infection prevention and control risk factors. Especially this time, the Delta virus is highly transmitted, so infection control work is a top priority. I am well aware of the mission and responsibility on my shoulders, and I have completed every shift of work conscientiously, and I have done every link of the infection control work in detail.
In our medical team, everyone divides the work and helps each other! In the ward, wearing heavy protective clothing, wearing a face screen on his head, and wearing double rubber gloves on his hands, it is difficult to touch the blood vessels in this case, and it is more challenging to "hit the nail" more challenging. As a senior "old nurse", I am the first to meet these challenges, and my heart is full of energy. I remember that there was a grandmother from Yangzhou who was more than 80 years old, and the blood vessels could not be touched at all, in this case, while comforting her, I quickly and successfully inserted needles with the excellent skills trained by years of work. When Grandma gave a thumbs up and expressed her gratitude, I felt that my efforts were worth it.
To be the "guardian" of life is to undertake the mission and maintain health, and I will never back down on the road of fighting the epidemic. "The green mountains are together with the clouds and rain, and the bright moon and He were once two townships", this is the kindness and touching in the tribulation; "The father can still be born for the future, and the husband can not be young and young", which is the ambition and courage of the people who fight the "epidemic". Heavy protective clothing, high temperature weather, unfamiliar environment just entering the ward, unfamiliar work process are not obstacles, I will adhere to a rigorous work attitude, high-quality work efficiency, to complete this support work, this is my determination and courage as a Communist Party member.
