Leung Chi-yan, Director of the Beijing Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, attended the event and delivered a speech, thanking Chen Musheng and Wu Mengda for their contributions to the Hong Kong film industry, and expressing the deep thoughts of audiences who love Hong Kong films for the two; actor, producer and now spokesman of the Hong Kong Filmmakers Association, Tian Qiwen, also had a live audience online exchange, recalling the two deceased friends in the air and telling the little-known stories behind them. On the same day, the event also arranged for the screening of two new and old films, "Heavenly Love" and "Anger and Serious Case", in order to pay tribute to filmmakers Chen Musheng and Wu Mengda.
After the screening, tian Qiwen was connected
At present, "Fury And Serious Case" is being screened in theaters, with a box office exceeding one billion and gaining good reputation, so that Director Chen Musheng's "posthumous work" has not left regrets. "Heavenly Love" is his "debut work" presented to the audience 30 years ago, in addition to achieving himself and starring Andy Lau, this film also helped the "golden supporting actor" Wu Mengda win the most important personal honor in his film career.
As a circle friend of the two filmmakers, actor Tian Qiwen was invited to connect with the fans on the day of the event to share his precious memories with Chen Musheng and Wu Mengda. In 1979, Tian Qiwen and Chen Musheng entered the TV station together, and although they did not have the opportunity to truly cooperate, Tian Qiwen always respected each other very much. When the news of director Chen Musheng's death came, he was filming with director Mak Siu-fai on the set, both of whom were saddened by the loss of an excellent creator in the industry, and now seeing the success of "Fury Case", Tian Qiwen felt a little relieved to some extent.
Musicians make a wish
The friendship between Tian Qiwen and Wu Mengda is even deeper, and the two have not only created a rich supporting role image in Stephen Chow's films, but also are old friends who talk about everything outside the play. Although the outside world always refers to Wu Mengda as a "golden supporting role", in Tian Qiwen's heart, the other party has always been the absolute "male number one" in his wonderful life.
He also used this to send a message to young people at the moment, do not ignore the true value of a film creation in order to compete for the so-called "position": "If a scene is wonderful enough, then it does not matter if I am a supporting role, if the audience still does not like or remember you after filming a lot of scenes, what is the meaning of this so-called protagonist?" ”
On the same day, Tian Qiwen also revealed a news that many Hong Kong film fans regretted for the first time at the scene: at Wu Mengda's memorial service, Andy Lau revealed that he had prepared a new script for Wu Mengda, not only the characters were tailored according to his personality, but even looked forward to playing the "double male protagonist" with him. Now, Andy Lau does not know who can find this script to star again, and the project is shelved indefinitely.
