Hualong Network - New Chongqing Client October 26, 16:30 (Liang Haonan Correspondent You Shaobin Li Xu) On October 26, in the lemon base of Chongqing Jingwei Agricultural Co., Ltd. in Baizi Town, Tongnan District, Chongqing, the power supply employees of the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company were inspecting the lines to help users check the hidden dangers of electricity use and repair anti-mosquito lamps.

In the golden autumn, the 40,000 mu of lemons in Tongnan Baizi Town are about to ripen. The autumn breeze blows, and the slices of lemon hang from the branches, and the unique lemon fragrance is refreshing. "This year, it is expected to harvest about 200,000 catties of lemons, which can be sold for 3 to 4 yuan per catty." Zhang Chongwei, head of Jingwei Agricultural Company, said that this year's lemon production and market conditions are better, and the orchard is expected to usher in a bumper harvest.

Lemon cultivation and irrigation are inseparable from the support of electricity. "Every 10 days or so, we have to start pumping irrigation equipment to water the lemon trees to 'quench their thirst'." Zhang Chongwei said that in addition to conventional irrigation, spraying insect repellents such as flowering and fruit hanging periods requires electricity.

Previously, Zhang Chongwei's orchard had been using lighting electricity. With the increase of electricity load, lighting electricity gradually does not meet the development needs of orchards. Zhang Chongwei decided to apply for the installation of power electricity, "I did not expect that I installed the power power in one phone call, and I did not spend a penny." ”

On the day of application, the power supply staff came to investigate, verify the load of the equipment, determine the power access point, and formulate the power supply plan. Three days later, the power supply staff completed the erection of 330 meters of low-voltage lines, built a new pole with 4 bases, and pulled the power line to the pumping room of Zhang Chongwei Orchard.

With power electricity, the orchard's pumped irrigation system can be activated at any time, and the lemon tree is no longer "thirsty", the longer the better. Zhang Chongwei saw it in his eyes and was happy in his heart, and he was more confident in lemon cultivation. With sufficient and reliable electricity, Zhang Chongwei's lemon orchard is on the right track, and at the same time, nearby villagers are driven to work to earn money and increase income.

"When I was busy, there were more than 30 people working here." Zhang Chongwei said that the orchard first considered that poor households in the village or people without other economic resources came to work, and each person was paid 60 yuan per day.

In Baizi Town, there are many people like Zhang Chongwei who are engaged in lemon cultivation, only 10 large-scale growers such as Huida lemon, Jinbon Fruit Industry, Ganghong Fruit and Vegetables, etc., with an annual output of nearly 20,000 tons and an annual output value of about 200 million yuan. The town has also expanded and built a lemon standardized planting base along the "Tongbai Road and Taibai Road", and the lemon planting area in the town has reached more than 40,000 mu.

In order to serve the development of the local lemon industry, since February 2020, the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company has transformed and upgraded the power grid of Baizi Town to improve the power supply guarantee capacity. By the end of September, the State Grid Chongqing Electric Power Company had transformed 53 distribution transformer areas, added 42 new transformers, built 142.51 kilometers of new 10 kV lines and 373.11 km of low-voltage lines, benefiting 4813 villagers and lemon growers in 21 villages.
