At the intersection of Progressive Road and Wujing Road (before the renovation of Tianjin Railway Station), there are vehicle stops spontaneously organized by the people, and individual vehicles traveling from the south to the north are "lying on their stomachs" here, and there are often unemployed people collecting fares here, and the order is very chaotic. In response to the illegal acts of traders and, Wang Tinghu and his colleagues began to govern.

After several months of governance, the local situation has improved, the departure time of vehicles has also been standardized, and the masses who came to sit in the car gave Wang Tinghu a thumbs up.

In the late 1980s, Wang Tinghu was transferred to the Tanggu Public Security Police Station, when his child had just turned one year old. In addition to the security management of taxis, he is often transferred to the nearby bathing beaches to replenish the police force on holidays. Here, Wang Tinghu has saved many drowning children, "because he became a father, he was particularly kind to see his children."

Two years before retirement, Wang Tinghu did not choose to retreat to the second line, but came to the Yingkou Road Station of the subway with large passenger traffic. After 36 years of rooting in the grassroots frontline, Wang Tinghu's hair has gradually become white. He described the subway station as an island, saying that he was the tower keeper on that island, hoping to use his own light to illuminate the way forward.
