Life and death stay – the marquee of the dying

author:Angela

Everyone's life is like a long chain of colorful beads, each of which is a precious memory. And when a person is about to die, his mind will replay the details of his past life, and even some of it is a history that you have forgotten on the surface. In fact, they are buried deep in your subconscious.

The movie STAY tells such a story. After watching the film, I was not only obsessed with the director's excellent montage technique and the film's realistic and illusory style; it was not just the special effects treatment in the film, but a line.

In the film, Lyra says to Sam, "There is so much beauty in life that cannot be separated. This sentence made me very moved. She made me realize the preciousness of life, the meaning of life and the beauty contained in it. STAY is not so much the last dream of a dying person as it is in his subconscious, and the protagonist wants to keep the beauty of life as much as possible.

Actor Ryan Gosling plays an art college student in it, and I was fascinated from the beginning with the melancholy temperament he exuded. He was pale, thin, decadent, and tall, like a transparent crystal goblet, and if he wasn't careful, he would become crushed to pieces.

He was in a car accident while driving on the viaduct, his parents and girlfriend died on the spot, and he was also lying in a pool of blood. STAY was a dream he had within minutes.

In the dream, he hoped that his parents would not die; he hoped that his girlfriend would not meet him. How desperate he wanted to save their lives, he struggled desperately in his dreams, but again and again despaired until the end of his heartbeat.

From this, I saw the preciousness of life, the preciousness of family affection and love. I followed the protagonist and the director on an incredible journey – it was a man's last dream.

The overall tone of the film is melancholy, like Gosling's melancholy expression and his tear-stained eyes. Visually, the film is filled with dark blue and dreamy purple, allowing people to be immersed.

The film creates a dreamlike feeling, with countless spiral staircases where you run down but you can't find an exit. I have also experienced this plot in my dreams, which may indicate that people are extremely anxious in the subconscious.

Life is fragile, sometimes irreparable. We can cherish the present, but also cherish the people around us. Even if, as the movie says, if this is a dream, the whole world is inside it.
