The reason for ye Fengchun's book name confusion
Ye Fengchun is the most confusing of all the editions of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and there may be many reasons for the confusion in the titles of the various volumes of Ye Fengchun, mainly the following.
1. The start-up version. The confusion of the title of Ye Fengchun's book may be due to the fact that Ye Fengchun was originally a version of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" in the early days, and the title of the book has been uncertain, so the titles of each volume are more confusing. Later editions have been carefully organized, so that the titles of each volume are more consistent.
2. It is caused by the post-periodical publisher finisher. It can be seen from the titles of Ye Fengchun's book "New Periodical" and "Reprint" that the Ye Fengchun edition seen so far is definitely a replica and has been revised. The revisers may not only revise the content and add Zhou Jingxuan's poems, but also repeatedly revise the titles of the books, resulting in the confusion of the titles of the volumes. The confusion of the title may also be that the engraver inadvertently abridged or reversed, and carefully analyzed the titles of ye Fengchun's volumes, which may be the case. For example, the title of the book in the fourth line of the volume, "New Periodical Popular Interpretation Like the Romance of the Three Kingdoms", is likely to be missed from the word "Historical Biography" compared with other titles of the book " Popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms". 3. Transcribed from different versions. Another reason for the confusion in the titles of the volumes may be due to the fact that the volumes were copied from different editions.
