Emperor Zhengde of Daming, Zhu Houzhao, courtesy name Wuzong. Born in 1505, he was the eldest son of Emperor Xiaozong of Ming and Empress Zhang. Since Emperor Mingxiaozong only favored Empress Zhang in his lifetime (which is rare), and Empress Zhang only gave birth to two sons for her, the second son Zhu Houwei died early, so Zhu Houzhao was pampered from an early age, and the young Wuzong was very smart, and the things taught to him by teachers could always be learned quickly. Supposedly he should be able to become a good emperor, but his wayward life has achieved the title of a ridiculous emperor. After Zhu Houzhao succeeded to the throne, among the eunuchs who served as crown prince in the Eastern Palace, the eight eunuchs led by Liu Jin, Ma Yongcheng, Gao Feng, Luo Xiang, Wei Bin, Qiu Ju, Gu Dayong, and Zhang Yong, were called the "Eight Parties" (later known as the "Eight Tigers"). They took advantage of the emperor's pampering and playful nature to do as he pleased, came up with all kinds of novel entertainment tricks to seduce the emperor to play, and wantonly excluded the ministers who opposed them. Emperor Wuzong was good at riding and shooting, often dressed in tight clothes, and rode on horseback in the Forbidden City in spite of the palace ban. At that time, Liu Jianjin, a minister who was concerned about his life, asked Emperor Wuzong to do the following: First, there was no single ride and driving, and it was forbidden to enter and leave the palace; second, there was no frequency of the Supervision Bureau (the office of the eunuchs of the internal officials), and the boating of Haizi (one of the tourist attractions on the outskirts of Beijing); third, there was no incident of eagle dog catapulting; and fourth, there was no service to serve drinks and meals. It can be seen that Liu Jian's advice was a mistake that Emperor Wuzong often made. He spent his days hanging out with eunuchs, playing on the lake in boats, setting up eagles and dogs to hunt, and privately hosting banquets and banquets (in the Ming Dynasty, the emperor's diet and banquets had to be hosted by special institutions). He also felt that he was not addicted, so he imitated the brothel, let many palace ladies dress up as powder heads, and Wuzong went to listen to music and obscene music from house to house, making the harem a miasma. Immediately after, Liu Jin built a leopard house. Liu Jin spent 240,000 taels of silver and built it for several years, completely turning the leopard house into Wuzong's own private villa. Civilian officials opposed him to go to war, so they simply did not give any civilian officials the honor of accompanying them. In this battle, Wuzong really showed extraordinary military talent. He first sent a small number of troops to lure the snake out of the hole, pinning down the enemy's main force, and then increasing the strength of the enemy to consume the enemy's vigor. The whole battle lasted for several days, and finally ended in the defeat of the little prince. This battle temporarily stabilized the northern border of the Ming Empire for a while. It is also a serious thing to do in absurdity. But what happened next was less serious. In August of the twelfth year of Zhengde (1517), the border of Datong warned that Emperor Mingwuzong Zhu Houzhao had sneaked out of the capital and came to Datong. It was here that he met the archetypal character of Li Fengjie in folklore, Liu Liangnu. Liu Liangnu was beautiful and proficient in music, and Zhu Houzhao fell in love with her at first sight, taking her as a concubine and making her a beauty.
