On September 30, 2021, the first DnA SHENZHEN Design and Art Fair was held at the Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning in Futian District, Shenzhen. This is the third art fair created by the ART 021 team after art 021 in Shanghai and JINGART art fair in Beijing.

The Mangrove Gallery is one of the most closely watched local galleries. At the same time, to our surprise, the sales situation of the expo also greatly exceeded expectations. ”

For the inaugural DnA SHENZHEN, many galleries boldly launched solo exhibitions of artists. This shows the gallery's confidence in the Shenzhen art market. These include a solo exhibition by Xue Feng from the Tang Dynasty Art Center, a solo exhibition by Liang Quan from Mangrove Gallery, a solo project by American abstract artist Vivian Springford from Armin Leahy Gallery, and a solo project by Italian artist Gioele Amaro from HdM Gallery. It is understood that the works exhibited in these galleries are basically sold out.
The booth design is full of strong sales
Observing the overall appearance of the booths of the DnA SHENZHEN exhibitors, most of them have added design elements, and some are design works, such as carpets, screens, sofas, recliners and other practical works. Other galleries have selected some fashionable and design works.
For example, Geng Gallery at booth C02 brought a large-scale screen installation by a Taiwanese artist, Su Menghong. At the Booth of the East Gallery, the carpets and sofas of Pierre Jeanneret, a designer who collaborated with the gallery, were presented. Meibo Gallery also specially designed the booth, in the exhibition works, with lounge chairs, sofas and other furniture, at the same time these furniture is also available for sale. It is understood that the master brought by the gallery this time especially for collectors in Shenzhen, including the prints of Chang Yu and Francis Bacon, is very popular. Among them, Chang Yu's prints were almost sold out.
In addition, other galleries, such as the Hive Center for Contemporary Art in Beijing, and the rooftop space in Shanghai have sold on the first day of VIP, and most of the booth works have been sold. There are also many galleries that are looking forward to the prospects of the city's collection. One of the most expensive works at the fair should be the work of Anish Kapoor brought by The Riesen Gallery, which is understood to be priced at around 8 million yuan. Gallery director Dong Daozi believes that as long as it is a good work, it is possible to meet collectors here.

Works of tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of yuan are relatively popular.

It is worth mentioning that for Shenzhen, a city known as the capital of design, the first DnA SHENZHEN specially chose design as the starting point to create this expo, which received many praises.
For example, the design-based exhibitors: Objective Gallery is the largest exhibitor in this booth, with a total of more than 80 square meters, and many limited edition home design works are exhibited. On the first day of the opening, the booth site was quite lively.
Another gallery, GALLERY All, has achieved good results in participating in art fairs in Shanghai and Beijing, and this time they did not disappoint in Shenzhen. Got good feedback.
