Yangtze River Daily, July 25 -- On the morning of July 25, the tokyo Olympic women's 4×100-meter freestyle relay final was held in the Tokyo Aquatic Center. The Chinese team finished seventh with a time of 3:34.76 and set a new Asian record just set in the preliminary round on the 24th.

At the Rio Olympics five years ago, the Chinese team ranked ninth in the event. The relay team of this competition is composed of Cheng Yujie, Zhu Menghui, Ai Yanhan and Wu Qingfeng. Although they did not stand on the podium, they have played their best level and completed their self-breakthrough.

In the preliminary round, with a time of 3:35.07, they set a new Asian record of 3:35.63 set by the Chinese team in 2009 and advanced to the final. In the finals they took it to the next level.

The Chinese team won the silver medal in the event at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics and finished fourth at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 London Olympics.

Ai Yanhan in the team is from Wuhan, Hubei Province. She played the third base. In the Olympic games, Xiao Ai played quite well, and after her hard work to catch up, the Chinese team's ranking rose from 8th to 7th in this stick.

Ai Yanhan was born in Wuhan in 2002. At the age of 13, he entered the national swimming team from Wuhan Children's Sports School and won national championships and good results in world competitions for many times. She was the youngest participant in the Chinese team at the Rio 2016 Olympics, and at the 2016 Rio Olympics and the 2017 Swimming World Championships, she won the fourth and second place in the women's 4×200m freestyle relay for the Chinese team together with her teammates.

After the relay competition, Ai Yanhan has successfully completed the task of this Olympic Games. She told the people of her hometown: "We are very good here, and we are well adapted, and this time my goal is to break through myself and win glory for my hometown."
