Yueyang Daily All-Media News (Chen Fang) On the morning of August 11, the 39th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 17th People's Congress of Linxiang City was held, and Li Qibao, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Wang Youhua, Chen Changying, Cao Xiaoguang, Li Chuili, and Yu Hao, deputy directors of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, attended the meeting. Liu Qi, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor of the nomination, yuan kang, Li Feng, and Wu Tianxing, municipal leaders, Li Jianping, nominee of the vice mayor of the municipal government, Zhang Qing, nominee of the president of the municipal people's court, and Chen Yao, nominee of the chief procurator of the municipal people's procuratorate, attended the meeting as observers.
The meeting heard and deliberated the motion on the appointment and dismissal of personnel, and decided by secret ballot to accept Comrade Liao Xinghui's resignation as mayor of the Linxiang Municipal People's Government, agreed to Comrade Cai Jiwei's resignation as vice mayor of the Linxiang Municipal People's Government, decided to appoint Comrade Liu Qi as vice mayor of the Linxiang Municipal People's Government, and decided that Vice Mayor Liu Qi would be the acting mayor of the Linxiang Municipal People's Government. The meeting issued a letter of appointment to Comrade Liu Qi and held a constitutional oath-taking ceremony.
In his speech on the post, Comrade Liu Qi said that he would always strengthen his faith and be loyal to the party; he would always undertake practical work and work hard; he would always keep firmly in mind the purpose and serve the people wholeheartedly; and he would always be strict with himself and administer according to law. Under the strong leadership of the municipal party committee and with the supervision and support of the municipal people's congress and its standing committee, we should unite and lead a group of government personnel to work hard and continue to struggle, speed up the construction and development of Linxiang, strive to create achievements that can stand the test of history, practice, and the people, and hand over a satisfactory answer sheet to the party and the people.
The meeting also heard and deliberated the 2020 financial final accounts (draft) and the financial budget implementation report for the first half of 2021, reviewed and approved the 2020 municipal financial final accounts; heard and deliberated the audit report on the implementation of the municipal financial budget and other fiscal revenues and expenditures in 2020; and heard and deliberated the report on the city's national economic and social development plan for the first half of 2021.
