Recently, overseas media released a set of renderings of Alfa Romeo's new SUV model, the new car is designed by Hao Hu, a student of the California Art Center School of Design, the picture is only an imaginary map, not recognized by Alpha Romeo, and will not be mass-produced in the future. The design intent of the work was to create a new flagship SUV positioned above Alfa Romeo Stelvio, which was named Vassago.
In terms of appearance, Vassago's exterior design is highly technological, with a narrow headlight set on the front face, and a central grille that is smaller and more refined than the current Stelvio model. The sides of the front face are concave inwards and equipped with prominent front bumpers, making the front face very three-dimensional. The Vassago's bodyline is sleek, with concealed door handles and a new shape of large wheels underneath. With a large spoiler, through-the-taillights and a prominent rear diffuser at the rear, Vassago has an overall futuristic feel.
It is undeniable that Alfa Romeo Stelvio is a good car, performing well in terms of power, appearance and interior, but due to the fierce competition in the market, the sales of Alfa Romeo Stelvio are not very satisfactory. Rivals are all rolling out large SUVs and transitioning to electrification, and while Vassago won't, the company is likely to launch similar models in the future to boost market competitiveness.
