China Aviation News Network News: According to Reuters on August 17, supersonic aircraft manufacturer Boom Supersonic said it wants to restructure supersonic commercial air travel across the Atlantic.
The company's supersonic airliner Boom Overture prototype is under construction and is scheduled to begin test flights in 2022 with the first passenger flights in 2029. It is expected to fly 65 passengers from New York to London in 3 and a half hours and finally from San Francisco to Tokyo in 6 hours.
In addition, United has reached an interim agreement with Boom Supersonic that will purchase 15 aircraft in its development and a further 35, as appropriate.
