Born in Keelung calligraphy and painting family, Tao Gang is one of the important members of Taiwan's contemporary ink creation group "Liu Tiao Mo" and "Drift Society", the background of the calligraphy and painting family makes him particularly affectionate about traditional media such as paper and ink, on the other hand, he is interested in contemporary issues, the current environmental issues, especially the emotional state between people. When composing, he likes to listen to heavy metal music, and his ink style is distinctive.

Tao Gang's creation is often presented in a geometric, black and white minimalist way, but in the seemingly simple block surface, there is a trace of dense dots hidden everywhere, showing a calm tone and a secret texture, he combines the landscape imagery of human and animal images, metaphorically metaphorically his thinking on human nature, scattered in the vast background of the mountains and rivers, small life forms, like a theater staged human struggle, struggle and desire.

In this painting, Tao Gang uses real natural landscapes, plants, etc. to form a scene, which is accumulated in the journey of life and daily life, showing what you see and feel when you travel, and also re-watch the dialogue between your inner state of mind and the environmental space in your memory. It is as if looking at a photo to recall the scenery or people in front of you, but also to express your own emotions in the present. The composition of the picture uses different angles such as "up, down, side view", etc., while adding the concept of "deconstruction and cutting", so that each picture is like a micro-film.

White Rain takes the stone as the object, through the occasional distant view and occasional close-up view, like a dialectic and questioning of tradition, and then clarifies how he gradually understands this small and large world, revealing his calm and gentle introverted emotions. (Gao Yang)
