Tonight at 19:10, the Drum Tower West Theater will hold a live broadcast of the script reading meeting.
The famous actor Zhao Lixin served as the director and star of the script reading, and let us relive the charm of the theater before officially entering the theater.
This is an extraordinary live theater performance, and the actors holding the script take to the stage of the Drum Tower West Theater.
From the opening bell to the closing curtain to the post-performance communication, there is no shortage of links in the theater performance; lighting, music, necessary scheduling, the elements of the theater performance, a lot!
Although script reading is different from theatrical performance, the script reading of "Gulou West Line 730" is by no means a simple reading of the play, as far as possible to mobilize the theater elements, and provide a rich and colorful viewing experience in the camera.
Rehearsal photos will be read aloud
The repertoire of this reading is the famous playwright Martin McDonagh's "Broken Hand City", which is the third performance of Martin McDona's play by the Drum Tower West Theater after "Pillow Man" and "The Beauty of Li Nanshan".
For several days, the actors rehearsed intensely. Fierce quarrels, muffled cries, violent shouts, sudden gunshots... Inside the Drum Tower West Theater, there are one sound after another.

Broken Hands City premiered at the Skeenfield Theater on Broadway in New York in 2010 and starred Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell, and Anthony McKay. It is Martin McDonagh's first American-themed black comedy that presents a unique American phenomenon.
In Pillow Man, the intricate and intricate narrative labyrinth he constructs is mesmerizing; in "The Beauty of Lisan Mountain", the tyrannical and twisted relationship between mother and daughter in "The Beauty of Li nanshan" is chilling; in "Broken Hand City", we will once again appreciate Martin McDonaer's unique style of writing mixed with horror, humor and fantasy.
Still brain-opening, still suspenseful, still hiding a trace of warmth behind pain and absurdity.
Synopsis
A small American town, a dilapidated hotel room.
The mysterious middle-aged man, Carmekou, has been frantically searching for twenty-seven years for his left hand, which was cut off when he was a teenager. A couple, Toby and Marilyn, claim to own Cameko's left hand and try to defraud Camiko's bounty. During the transaction, the eccentric hotel front desk Mervyn intervenes, and he discovers that Toby is the fraudster who has harmed him.
Carmeko sees the ruse, and Toby and Marilyn are in danger. In the corner of the room, the gasoline barrel under the candle was about to detonate. At the moment of life and death, for the sake of survival, for revenge, for the sake of clarifying the truth, for twenty-seven years of persistent pursuit, the fates of the four people are intertwined in a mysterious way.
