Katemir Balagov, director of the TV series of the same name adapted from the Game of the Last of Us, posted a photo on Instagram today. In the photo, the field board of The Last survivor is held in his hand, and all the records on it have been erased. According to a tweet from TGA host Geoff Keighley, this implies that filming for the Last of Us tv series should have ended.
The drama is set about two decades after the destruction of modern civilization, when the strong survivor Joel is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl, out of quarantine. What was normal smuggling turned into a brutal and heartbreaking journey, as they both had to cross the United States and rely on each other to survive.
The American drama "The Last Survivor" is scheduled to premiere in 2022, and the first season has a total of 10 episodes. Joel will be played by Star Wars: The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal, while Ellie will be played by Bella Ramsey, an actor who worked on A Song of Ice and Fire: Game of Thrones. Neil Druckmann, the original game screenwriter, and Gustavo Santaolalla, the arranger, were both involved in the film's production.
