Li Jun graduated from Shanghai Yucai Middle School.
In 1969, Li Jun actively responded to the call, went up the mountain to the countryside, and came from Shanghai to the vast world at the foot of Guanda Mountain in Heilongjiang Province.

On June 7, 2012, Li Jun's sister Li Qun came to Beixing Farm in Boli County, Heilongjiang Province, to visit her sister's grave.
