HBO has finally released the first trailer for Game of Thrones prequel, Dragon Family.
Although "Game of Thrones" ended in a "bad ending" in the finale, it did not hinder fans' expectations for this prequel.
The Dragon Family will revolve around the Targaryens from Game of Thrones.
The overall storyline will be based on the war between the two factions in the Targaryen dynasty.
In the original novel, most of the story content should fall on the civil war part of "The Dance of the Dragon".
If you look at the Timeline of Game of Thrones, the story of Dragon Family will take place
Before the first 200 years of the first season of Game of Thrones.
It wouldn't come as much of a surprise if the first season of Dragon Family only covered the beginning of the war.
Because the war itself is a huge plot line, it will be similar to the catalyst effect of the first season of "Game of Thrones", "Battle of the Five Kings".
It ends with poor Ned Stark being beheaded, but it brings out the story of ups and downs that follow.
The Dragon Family will tell us about the struggle and war of succession in the next generation of Viserys Targaryen I.
His daughter, Renella Targaryen, was questioned for her inheritance because she was a woman.
And Renilla's half-brother, Egon Targaryen II, was not a glorious successor.
Against this backdrop, although "Dragon Family" will show us the epic "Battle of the Dragons", under such a sky, it will eventually cast a humiliating haze on Winterfell.
Let's take a look at what interesting information the first trailer brings to us.
At the beginning of the trailer, Matt Smith's voiceover speaks of "gods, kings, fire and blood," three simple words that pretty much perfectly interpret everything in Dragon Family.
Matt Smith will also play Damon Targaryen, who is both The Uncle of Renilla Targaryen and her husband (which is the Targaryen family we know).
The choice of him to voice the voiceover is not random, and this ruthless Damon Targaryen, full of heart, will play an important role in promoting the entire plot.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="5" >2, the dragon is a god</h1>
When Matt Smith speaks of the word "gods," a statue of a dragon appears on the screen, and judging from the word and the statue of the dragon, it can lead us to the roots or origins of the Targaryen family in Valyria.
The Conqueror Egon was named after the gods of Valyria through the three dragons that unified the continent of Westeros.
Similarly, for the Targaryens, when it comes to the advantages of this family in the struggle for power, there are only these three dragons.
Also in the final part of the trailer, Smith also said that "the dream did not make us kings, but the dragon did." ”
This is also in line with the emotions that Daenerys Targaryen showed in The Eighth Season in Game of Thrones.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="7" >3, King, Hand of King, and Black Fire</h1>
The screen then switches to a dark green dress with a close-up of a brooch of the King's Hand.
And this brooch should belong to Otto Highto, one of the central focus figures of this war.
His daughter, Alison Hightower, gave birth to two children, Rainyla Targaryen and Egon Targaryen II.
Otto Hightower, on the other hand, tried everything to put his grandson on the throne, and because of this, many betrayal dramas would begin to develop from him.
Then there's Viserys sitting on the Iron Throne, and if you look closely, you'll see that the sword he holds in his hand is the famous "Black Fire."
It's a sword that drives Game of Thrones fans crazy, made of Valyrian steel that was lost in the Blackfire Rebellion and never appeared in Game of Thrones.
Cersei Lannister's successor (or rather, predecessor) runs around with a knife in the next shot.
Although it is impossible to know what this scene is about, judging from the nervous expression on Alison Hightower's face, it is likely that she is in the middle of a war.
It is undeniable that the ambitions of Allison and her father, Otto, and their entire family were responsible for the war.
And this family will have a very similar setting to the ambitious Lannisters in Game of Thrones.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="23" >11, black and green</h1>
The Dragon Family is destined to be a war between Renilla Targaryen and Allison Hightower of Egon Targaryen II.
This can be predicted from the scenes of stark contrasts and battles, and it seems that a brutal civil war will be inevitable.
In this fight scene, there is a man who looks very much like Valerian, with silver hair.
I can't be sure, but I bet this is Leno Valerian, the son of Corlis Valerian, the first husband of Renella Targaryen.
This also seems to herald his death, and because of this, it will open a door for Damon and his ambitions, and it is also destined that he will marry Renella!
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="27" >13, the Iron Throne should be</h1>
If there is a poor degree of restoration in "Game of Thrones", the depiction of the Iron Throne is one of the most criticized.
The Iron Throne in the original book is so scary that it's a standalone character in its own right, but in Game of Thrones it becomes a simple pointed chair.
However, it seems that "Dragon Family" wants to re-depict this chair, and this Iron Throne is a true reflection of what will be an ugly game.
This trailer is only 1 minute and 17 seconds, although only a short dozen seconds are used to introduce "Dragon Family", but it still reveals a lot of information and details.
I wonder what kind of plot will be shown to us in the future trailer? Let's look forward to the smooth start of "Dragon Family" in 2022.
