Gansu Provincial Women's Prison reported to criminal Nigora. The case of Ashmatova's commutation of sentence has been accepted by this court. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Criminal Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China and Article 25 of the Provisions of the Supreme People's Court on Several Issues Concerning the Specific Application of Law in Handling Cases of Commutation and Parole, the following is hereby announced to accept social supervision:
Criminal Nigora. Ashmatova, female, born on November 4, 1979, Uzbek, Uzbekistan, initially Chinese degree, currently serving a sentence in Gansu Provincial Women's Prison.
On August 18, 2008, the Shanghai No. 1 Intermediate People's Court rendered the (2008) HuYi Zhong Xing Chu Zi No. 166 Criminal Judgment against defendant Nigora. Ashmatova was sentenced to 15 years' imprisonment for drug smuggling (from January 20, 2008 to January 19, 2023), confiscation of personal property of RMB 30,000, and deportation at the end of the sentence.
On March 29, 2013, the Intermediate People's Court of Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, transferred the convict Nigora. Ashmatova's sentence was reduced by one year's imprisonment (from January 20, 2008 to January 19, 2022), and on March 15, 2015, the Intermediate People's Court of Urumqi City, Xinjiang, reduced her sentence by ten months (from January 20, 2008 to March 19, 2021).
Since the last commutation of sentence, the enforcement organ Gansu Provincial Women's Prison has been able to admit guilt and repent, abide by prison regulations, receive education and reform, actively participate in the "three lessons" study, pass the grades, actively participate in labor, and complete labor tasks. He was praised five times, and the convict reformed the activist twice, and if he did show repentance, his sentence could be reduced. A nine-month commutation of the prisoner's sentence was recommended. The procuratorate agreed to request a nine-month commutation of the offender's sentence.
