According to reports, the new TV tower in Guangzhou can easily withstand a magnitude 8 earthquake and a once-in-a-century typhoon under the protection of damping devices. On the 106th floor of Canton Tower, the 423-meter-high Xuanjie Mediterranean Cafeteria is the world's tallest revolving restaurant with a capacity of 130-150 people, and has been verified by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2014 as "the tallest revolving restaurant in the building." The restaurant is designed in an oval ring, rotating in about 100 minutes, with exactly one dining time slot as the rotation cycle, ensuring that guests from all positions can enjoy the gorgeous scenery of Guangzhou in all directions.
