Anhui Tianchang is bordered by the river and the sea, and the rivers and lakes are intertwined, and it is known as the hometown of fish and rice. During the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Tianchang was at the forefront of the struggle against the enemy in the east anti-Japanese base area of Huainan Road. In May 1941, at the most dangerous moment of the Chinese nation, the flag of the Anti-Japanese University was planted here, and the eighth branch of the Chinese People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University was officially born, and the glorious footprints of the trainees' study, work and battle spread all over the sky, and the sonorous sound of shouting to defend the family and defend the country resounded throughout the ancient town.
Longgang is a thousand-year-old town full of red stories. In Tianchang City, Anhui Province, there is an old small Western-style building, experiencing wind, frost, rain and snow, walking through the plain years, but still beautiful, in the silent place to witness the continuation of a vein of books and the inheritance of red genes... In 1937, the Anti-Japanese War broke out, the county seat of Tianchang fell, and the library was occupied by the Japanese Kou, and tens of thousands of books were burned. The young people went into the fields and, under the leadership of the Party, organized, propagated, and mobilized the suffering peasants, igniting the flames of resistance. Even an enlightened gentry who had served as the director of the Tianchang Library joined the revolutionary ranks. In 1949, people finally ushered in the birth of new China, and on May 22 of that year, the warriors of the Tianchang County (then Binghui County) transport regiment that participated in the Battle of the Crossing River returned home after a hundred battles, leaving a precious historical image in front of the small building of the Tianchang Library for the rest of their lives...

Xiandun Temple is located in the east of Gaoyou Lake, more than 10 miles west of Tongcheng Town, under the Gaomiao Community of Tianchang City, was founded in the early Ming Dynasty, and has a history of about 600 years, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, it belongs to the Huainan Road East Anti-Japanese Base Area.
In 1941, Wu Yunduo, a repair factory of the Second Division of the New Fourth Army, manufactured rifle bullets, repaired guns and cannons, and developed and produced cannons and artillery shells, gun grenades and mines. Over a period of more than four years, the arsenal produced hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition and gun grenades under the dangerous environment behind enemy lines and extremely difficult conditions, making great contributions to enhancing the combat effectiveness of the New Fourth Army and winning the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression behind enemy lines. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, due to the needs of the revolutionary situation in the War of Liberation, the Xiandun Temple Arsenal withdrew north to Shandong in June 1946. Nowadays, the environment here is beautiful, and efforts are being made to create a military town-themed tourist attraction with the theme of red culture.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, and party history education propaganda boards have been set up in the long corridor of the Tianchang City Citizens' Cultural Square and the streets of various towns.
The Civic Square Cultural Corridor, which took nearly a month to produce, consists of 72 exhibition boards, divided into two parts: "100 Years of Glorious History of the Communist Party of China" and "100 Years of Party History of Tianchang", the party history and culture corridor has a bright and dazzling tone, rich in content, in the form of pictures and texts, from the four aspects of the revolutionary period, the war of resistance against Japan, the period of the founding of the people's republic of China, and the new period of reform and opening up, showing the content of party building in an all-round, multi-level and multi-perspective manner, leading us to relive the history of the development of the Communist Party of China. At the same time, it shows the history of party building in our city in the past one hundred years. Guanghua Village, Yangcun Town, retains this inch of Fanghua, which is the place where the first party branch of Tianchang City was established, the red base area during the liberation period, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, Chen Shunyi was the first county magistrate of the anti-Japanese democratic government in Tianchang County, Ji Yuan was appointed secretary of the Yiyang District CPC Committee, General Luo Binghui and other revolutionary ancestors fought here, threatening the enemy. The reserve battalion of Yangcun developed into the backbone of the anti-Japanese resistance in eastern Anhui and integrated into the iron flow of the revolution.

In 2017, Guanghua Village of Yangcun Town won the honorary title of "National Civilized Village and Town". It has now become an important node of the "Red Journey" of Tianchang.
