South Korea KBS 2TV's new drama "New Dark History" from Monday to Tuesday has released new stills from Kim Myung-so and Lee Tae-hwan! "New Secret History" is a comedy suspense drama set in a dynasty, played by Kim Myung-so, the secret royal prosecutor Sung Yi-hyun, in order to listen to the stories of the people, expose corruption, and uphold justice and go undercover in the provinces.
Kim Myung-so and Lee Tae-hwan will play half-brothers, born to the wife and siblings of North Korean magistrate Sung Young-jae, respectively. Growing up, the two had close feelings and shared warm memories, but their fates would be very different because of the barren reality of North Korea.
In the newly released stills, Cheng Yiqian is dressed in handsome costumes to shoot arrows, and Cheng Yiqian appears in shabby costumes. Their contrasting visuals reflect the reality of their change. Cheng Yiqian, as the secret inspector, and Cheng Yifan, as the leader of the thieves' group, will take a completely different path. Audiences were eager to learn more about the painful story of two brothers who share warm memories but are separated by reality.
The screenwriter revealed that they have special feelings for the role of Cheng Yiqian. They shared that he was a figure who had encountered limitations in the world because of his status as the son of a male aristocrat and a lower class woman, but he achieved justice in his own way. They also said that although he used to be an innocent character, he became fierce and sharp after facing the ups and downs of life. Since he is a character with a huge twist, the audience should pay careful attention to him.
