It is understood that S243 Provincial Highway Guazhou Bridge was built in 1991, about 2.5km away from Guazhou Steam Ferry, the road is a first-class highway, the current status of the bridge is ordinary reinforced concrete T Liang, and the technical status in the regular inspection of ordinary provincial highway bridges in Yangzhou City in 2020 is assessed as 3 categories. Due to the long age of construction, the traffic flow of this section is large, there are many vertical cracks and transverse cracks in the T beam of the superstructure of Guazhou Bridge, and the vertical cracks and damage of the horizontal partition plate cause the bridge to belong to the bridge with insufficient bearing capacity adaptability.
According to the relevant person in charge, according to the "Action Plan for the Reconstruction of Dangerous Old Highway Bridges" issued by the Ministry of Transport, the highway management department of Hanjiang District will dismantle and rebuild the bridge after review by the Highway Development Center of the Provincial Department of Transportation. In late October, during the construction of the Guazhou Bridge, "half-width traffic, half-width construction" was adopted, and passing vehicles and pedestrians were asked to pay attention to safety.
